A question for the people that play on PS4 PRO

Does the game have FPS problems while playing? I want to sell my old PS4 and buy a pro, but I don't know if it changes the game quality in any way.

  • I play on ps4 pro and have no issues with frame rates.

It does however make the pro work hard and sound like an airplane taking off. Seems to be a very demanding game.

Note I play in Supersampling Mode. Maybe in regular HD it wouldn't be so demanding, but frame rate fine.

@34975634954957 Hmm so if the game is very graphic intensive, how will it run on Switch???. Cuz, there were some leaks in the files of the game in September, relating to a 'Nintendo Account', possibly more evidence for a switch release, considering EA are beginning to port their games to the console hybrid.

@Shadowphinx101 I don't think it's getting ported to Switch honestly. I find it funny that it was pinned on the subreddit for so long. If it does get ported, we'll have to see if it runs properly. Then again, Apex Legends is coming to Switch, so maybe.
  • I have supersampling mode turned off, but the frame rate is stable.
It becomes an airplane after restarting after playing for a long time. After a while, it's quiet like the first boot.
I have also turned off [Enable HDMI Device Link] to reduce video delay.

In order to suppress console lag, I sometimes rebuild the database from safe boot, and the operation of the main unit is also quick.
When the airplane noise is loud, a fan for the living room is placed in front of the console to cool it, so there is no frame rate drop.
The combination of SSD, 1ms gaming monitor, high speed HDMI and LAN cables and PS4 Pro is interesting.
Perhaps even if you switch from normal PS4 to Pro and play with exactly the same technique, the game play results should improve 🙂

@34975634954957 The new pro models run much better and don't sound like jet engines. It's strange, my old Pro was louder than the original PS4.
  • I also recommend setting the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit).
The numbers you enter here will vary depending on the telecommunications company you subscribe to,

but on PS4 and Nintendo Switch you can set the MTU number from the setting menu in the console to bring out the optimal performance of the Internet line.

Your progress will be faster and various things will be stable.

@shurikeninjaDo the 2018-2019 models have the airplane problems? I want to buy the best one I can so it can launch BfN perfectly.

I wondered the same when there was talk of a Switch version. If it happened I would expect the graphics resolution to be toned down a lot. Games can still look nice on switch if this is done well.

  • @GutmanSca No, I think those ones work normally. You may have to eventually clean the fans but I've had no problems for the two years that I've had them.
