Abilitt discussion: every ultra ball

Super ultra ball, super multi ball, and super guided ultra ball.

Super ultra ball-default (gw2 and bfn)

Gw2 description:

The Super Ultra Ball is the ultimate in Plant-stopping projectiles. Fire it on the ground, or while airborne. It's your choice!

Bfn description: Fire an explosive ball of energy.

Super brainz charges up than throws a purple fireball that deals 70 direct 50 spalsh damage for 120 total. 20 second cooldown. In bfn it lasts 2 seconds, deals 100 damage but only 50 for splash if missed, and has a 17 second cooldown.

Gw2 super brsinz can fire mid air after jumping.

Has 2 upgrades.

Scorched:

Deal additional damage for a short time in the area that Super Ultra Ball hits.

Extra special:

Raise shield when firing Super Ultra Ball.

Automatically raises Alpha Better Shield when using Super Ultra Ball. Still activates shield if using Brainium Basher 9001.

According to the quest "Super Ultra Ball Vanquishing," Super Brainz' powers start to overwhelm him after a while, and he has to release the built-up power in him by creating and shooting Super Ultra Balls.

Super multi ball-special

Gw2 description:

What could possibly be better than launching a fireball from your hands? Launching multiple fireballs from your hands, of course!

Super brainz fires 3 blue fire balls.

It takes 1 second to deploy, has a 18 second cooldown time. Each ball deals 40 damage for a direct hit, and 50 splash damage but it depends on how close you are to the blast. 120 if all blasts land.

Super guided ultra ball-special

Gw2 description: "Tired of Plants dodging your fireballs? Worry no longer! The Super Guided Ultra Ball may be slow but sure packs a punch, AND it chases plants!"

Superbrainz fires an orb of greenish energy that tracks an opponent in the crosshairs while aiming. It travles slowly and explodes after a certain distance but it deals 150 damage if it lands. It has a 17 second cooldown.

The gw2 version definetly looks better than the bfn version. Being able to throw it mid air is also incredibly useful in gw2. It's a bit inaccurate to balance it out though. The shield upgrade seems buggy as it half the time doesn't register and block damage. The alts we're nice and it's sad to see them go.

  • I use super ultra guided ball a lot in GW2, it's hilarious to get a vanquish against a player 20 seconds later! It's slow and not hard to spoof, but it can be very effective, especially at point blank. With Toxic Brainz in toxic overload mode, it's devastating against bosses.

Multi-ball is pretty good, much like multi-rocket, it's best with tightly packed enemies. Decent alternate ability.

It's not bad in BfN, but I also prefer the GW2 version.

@Iron_Guard8 I love the guided ball as while it can be dodged and has limited range the extra damage and homing is just too good to waste.

Ironically multi ball in direct hits with all three only does as much damage as the regular ultra ball so its much better use it as a splash weapon.

Bfn ultra ball feels fine and works fine but I think it looked a lot better in gw2.
