Chomp Cannon is a great surprise ability. One-shotting Scientists when they don't expect this weapon is highly amusing and rewarding. I'm a big fan of alternate abilities, when they're worth taking, as they mix things up and it's one reason I prefer GW, GW2, and TF2 over OW.
I have the Unicorn Chomper and of course the Twilight Chomper, but Chomper is my least played class and these are my least played variants (barring Disco as he's not good, even if he's fun). These warps are pretty fun but they also have serious issues with terrain in/near the path you're taking, the twilight warp goes crazy far like you point out, so I usually use it to get out of trouble rather than into it!
