IMP PUNT
Imp Punt for the All Star is an ability that kicks an Exploding Imp at nearby enemies that are in front of you, which deals lots of damage to any enemies that directly impacted by the attack, or lesser damage if they are close to the blast with splash damage. If you get close to your enemies or your enemies gets close to you, especially if they are grouped together, this is one of the best times to use this ability as you may be able to deal major amounts of damage at once or get some vanquishes. It does not explode as soon as it is thrown, but it only has a short delay, which means timing is important to when this should be used, or an enemy may be able to escape before they would take damage. I think this ability is cool, this is an excellent defensive weapon at close range or you can use it offensively when you approach your enemies. Just a note that you can make use of as well, you can actually push your enemies away that you hit with the Exploding Imp before it explodes, and once it explodes, they will take the damage.
GW Alternate Abilities
Long Bomb: This ability makes your Imp Punt be thrown much further, which basically converts it from a close range weapon to a medium range weapon, so it is great against enemies who who are located at a distance away from you, although it is now basically completely useless at close range. There are no other changes apart from this, except that it may take longer to explode, so this is great for a surprise attack, although do not use this at close range as it will basically do nothing unless you are very lucky. You should be very mindful on if you wish to use the regular variant or this alternate ability, it generally would depend on what you would prefer. I think this ability is quite cool, it seems completely balanced as it basically just turns Imp Punt into a weapon with longer range, although it becomes borderline useless at close range, so they each have their advantages and you can surprise your enemies with this alternate ability if you want.
BFN Alternate Upgrades
Long Bomb (2 upgrade points): The Imp Punt travels somewhat further when thrown out, which technically increases its total range. This could basically convert it into a ranged weapon, although the range is still quite limited. You can be more likely to hit your enemies this way if used well as you have the ability to throw it further, and you have the option to still use it at a close range if you throw it directly in front of your enemies, as you can actually push back your enemies and they will still be hit by it. I find that this can be useful, this upgrade is not particularly great but it helps you to use this at a further range if you need to, although you should still be able to use at close ranges if the situation calls for it.
Huge Fuse (4 upgrade points): You deal significantly more damage to enemies that you directly hit with your Imp Punt, meaning the damage is enough to vanquish many enemies with a single direct hit, however the splash damage is not increased, meaning that it is important to directly hit your enemies in order to benefit successfully from this upgrade. This is a great mechanism for clearing out enemy groups or for easily vanquishing an enemy. I reckon this upgrade is fine, as being able to deal heavy damage to your enemies can really help in a tough fight, although the cost and relying on the direct damage is not great, but can still be an awesome upgrade.
Conclusion
This ability can prove to be useful in a number of situations, including when you are close to your enemies or when you encounter groups of enemies, and you have the option to convert this into an ability with more range if you wish as well. Your enemies may want to think twice before getting close to you, so it basically is an enemy deterrent ability as well. I think this ability is useful often, as you have a defensive way of dealing with enemies that get too close or as an effective way to clear out enemy groups.
