Acquiring prize bulbs

I finished the prize map last night, partly thanks to the character key and getting the peashooter done and I have about 18 stored for next month's now. I wanted to share ways to get bulbs with folks so it will be less frustrating.

Character Challenges: 45 of my bulbs are from the three keys I've used so far. You get 2 per character challenge and a 5 bulb bonus from getting all 5 done for that character. in total 60 bulbs can be acquired this way which is roughly 1/3 of the number of bulbs needed to unlock the whole map. Some of these are more difficult than others of course. I haven't done citron yet, but I can try to help with the others:

-80s action hero- triple vanquishes with rocket ride: For this one I went to the first battle chest in Weirding Woods and used rocket ride on all the oak/acorn combos. I ran the chest 2 or 3 times to get it all done but as it provides a decent amount of coins and XP it wasn't onerous.

-Scientist-vanquish after a warp: I got this one done in zombies in town center, both in the open zone and in the lower level battle chests. You have a few second window to get this done so sometimes when I knew I wasn't going to vanquish in time, I'd warp again and then shoot after another warp. I highly recommend tracking this one to keep an eye on it.

-Scientist-5 revive streak: I got this done in the first battle chest in zombie town center as well. Avoid the enemy as much as possible until you get 5 revives then you can work on the other challenges in this battle chest. It's not a play style I recommend in PvP matches as you'll really annoy your team but the AI doesn't care.

-Peashooter-Pea Suped damage: Use the suped ability and just shoot as much as you can at zombies of any type. I think damage done with the chili bean bomb while in this mode counts as well, but not 100% sure here.

Ops and TT matches: I get an average of 1 bulb per Ops, sometimes 0, but often 1. I got at least 3 bulbs doing randos yesterday and working on the weekly challenge. Ops give decent cash and are great for getting XP for characters you don't main too. Less frequently I get them for TT matches too, but they tend to be longer than Ops. I'm not sure about other match types for bulbs.

Daily challenges: these are very hit or miss. Yesterday for example I had; 'victory in garden center ops' and 'defeat 8 miner problems'. Both of which took me less than 1/2 hour. I went to garden center as plants and soloed an ops to ensure I got the specific map done and miner problems aren't hard to get in mount steep. But, some of the challenges are dreadful like 'vanquish 30 outhouse zombies'. Use your randomizer for challenges like that. If you have any of these more tedious ones, you may want to just ignore it and reroll it tomorrow, you can get more bulbs from just running Ops and TT anyway.

Daily challenges are not very efficient unless you can get them done during playing the game normally, but can be used to supplement other methods. I hope they adjust these to be more time-friendly in the future.

Some daily challenge help:

-If you get the 'ground miners' challenge, got to Mount Steep and inside the mine areas to vanquish the flying miner problem enemies.

-If you get a bulb stuck at full, like for example I had to vanquish 12 miners Sunday but even on the tracker is stated 12/12. I went and vanquished at least 12 but still was stuck. I logged off and back on, and after returning to shoot one more down, it gave me credit. This is a bug that needs to be fixed, but this is how I get around it.

-If you get 'vanquish 25 <insert character class here>, I recommend using the battle chests. Many of the battle chest challenges have large groups of 1 or just a few types of specific characters. Some characters are also easier to find in certain spots in free roam regions.

-For very specific AI minion vanquishes: Such as 75 shield weeds or 30 outhouse zombies, and others. I highly recommend using your daily reroll or just skipping them altogether. The time investment to reward ratio is too low for these.

XP: I don't really track this so I'm not 100% how well this is working. I feel 15k is too high for this method and I honestly cannot say how many bulbs I got via this avenue. I swear its reset when it shouldn't have but I can't confirm this.

Other?: This is related to the Op and TT bulbs I keep getting that seem to just happen. I will also get them at times, but not every time I level up (I'm still only at one character mastered, the rest are all super elite level 6+). This level up bulb may be from the raw XP but it doesn't seem like that's correct from my experience.

I wish some of this was easier to confirm but even with me trying to keep track it's been a difficult to do so. I hope that even with this unfortunate ambiguity this can help at least some players get bulbs more easily so they can enjoy the rewards from the prize map. Btw: The Corn legendary hat is brilliant, I like it more than the Super Brainz outfit, even though both SB outfits are pretty cool.

If you have any questions on any of these, post here and if I can answer it, I will. If not, hopefully someone else can enlighten us.
