AI Difficulty (And balance…) PvZ Heroes

I’m sure there have been plenty of moments of players complaining about the a.i. being cheap in offline modes and whatnot.

Though one thing I don’t understand is why is it that the AI gets access to every single card available to its class while we get whatever we have and what we can ONLY get from packs.

Honestly, the AI gets every copy of legendaries it needs to beat the player while we only get 1, while sometimes lucky, 2.

It doesn’t matter if it’s “using preset decks for the characters”, it’s not fun to go against something that has the advantage in just about every turn in a match.

The very least it could do is make mistakes when playing cards like actual players will do, but no…

it completely “calculates” every possibility to the scenario and play the right cards to be a 100% counter to what the player has in their deck.

Ive spent at least $50 on packs, and yes, you can get gems with ads, but only 5 per video, and free packs from daily challenges but that isn’t enough for a reward. Not to mention crafting cards is pointless because of how costly it is to make a legendary card.

Lastly, people say this game isn’t Pay-to-win, but Incan assure you, it is.

  • I understand your frustration with the AI in offline modes in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and its access to all cards while players are limited to what they have obtained from packs. It can indeed feel unfair when the AI has access to multiple copies of powerful cards while players have limited resources.

Game developers often design AI opponents to provide a challenge to players and simulate intelligent decision-making. However, it's important for the AI to strike a balance between being challenging and providing an enjoyable experience for players. It's possible that in some cases, the AI may prioritize playing the most optimal cards based on the game's algorithms, which can make it seem like it has an advantage at every turn.

Regarding the availability of cards, it's not uncommon for games to have systems in place that encourage players to collect and unlock cards through gameplay or in-game purchases. This can create a progression system and add an element of strategy and customization to the game. While obtaining certain cards may be more difficult without spending real money, it's important to note that skill, strategy, and knowledge of the game mechanics can still lead to success even without having access to every card.

Regarding the cost of crafting legendary cards and the perception of pay-to-win, these are valid concerns. The pricing and progression systems in games can vary, and it's ultimately up to the developers to strike a balance between rewarding player progress and providing options for monetization. Feedback from players like yourself can be valuable in helping developers assess and improve their game's economy and balance.

If you feel that the game's AI difficulty or balance is negatively impacting your enjoyment, I encourage you to provide feedback directly to the game's developers or community forums. They may appreciate hearing your thoughts and suggestions for improvements.

Remember that game development is an iterative process, and developers often make adjustments and updates based on player feedback. Your input can contribute to the ongoing improvement of the game.

I hope this provides some insight into the AI design and progression systems in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes.

The truth is that it's getting extremely difficult seeing how AI comes with the best cards at last strike. It feels frustrating and unfair. As a new player I find myself a bit shocked to see a game so cruel to players. I just keep playing because I love the pvz series, but after playing 10 games and not winning one 😅 I'm getting to the point to quitting.

  • Please rebalance the game, the offline mode should be fun but it is starting not to be fun at all. The daily challenges should not be difficult as well. I play offline games to have fun and not to be frustrated.
