Decent advice there for PvE Cactus.

For PvP, I find many plants better suited for battle now.  Most enemies in PvP don’t fall for Potato Mines so I suggest relying on her fully charged snipe in a peek-a-boo type of manner; I hit them with a fully charged shot and then use primary fire to finish most people.  I only use Potato Mines when an enemy tries to charge me or to fortify an area.

Cactus is very lacking now in that there’s only one way to play her effectively - that’s to be “chicken” in that if any enemy comes after you, you’re best to run behind a corner (booby trapped with mines) and use the drone to knock off a little damage as they approach.  Providing you’re facing a formidable opponent and not someone you can completely vanquish from drone form, EXIT drone before they round that corner (in just enough time to fully charge a snipe shot).  From drone damage/splash damage plus the 60-90 damage on a fully charged shot, it’s usually easy to finish off any opponent with primary/rapid fire.  On most occasions, the booby trapped corner will actually surprise aggressively charging enemies, too.

Hope this helps/makes sense.  Much like many characters in BfN, caress is the key to Cactus success for me.
