All my characters are missing!?
I had almost all characters yesterday but when I went to play today almost all of them are missing, please help.

We have lost are pre birthday characters too. Can't get through to customers services as the ring back is for US or Canada only. Live chat is constantly busy. Sort. It. Out. EA. so shoddy.

They cant exactly go and investigate your account when they don't know what they're even looking for. It's not occurring for everyone, though it may be wide spread people still need to provide examples, so they can investigate.
From past events, I can see why they'd want proof of what's missing due to people trying to get free things (Seeing how people tried to get free Cheetos codes from Customer Service)
Whats Required of you:
- Platform
- Account Name
- Specific pre-event missing character
- Region (Just to rule it out)
Look, you have a problem. There's too many people commenting on here for you to say "go to customer service"

ALL NON DEFAULT CHARS; I can get the list from him, but you're asking a kid to remember the names of characters you won't show him IG (they all show up as ????). He logged back in to a default state

He's upset and I don't have time to deal with a script bot in customer service.
Just the name of one (a favorite character perhaps) pre-event missing character would be helpful, I don't think it has to be every single one.
I will wait to see if EA can actually solve someone's problem based on the information you are requesting. However I agree that better customer service would be for EA to acknowledge the issue and indicate a fix is being pursued. You have all these posts on this EA board, originating from basically the same time (around March 6, 2015) saying the exact same thing. This is an EA-side (server-side) issue and EA needs to treat it as such. People paid actual money in some cases to obtain in-game currency to unlock character pieces, eventually leading to full character unlocks, and now those are gone for many PvZ GW Xbox One users (me included) and nothing appears to be done about it. So people basically paid money for product elements which magically have disappeared with no warning. What is EA doing about this?

Missing characters: a bunch from each plant/zombie class type (don't remember exactly, but I had at least 5-6 fully unlocked in each type)
Region: U.S.
Timing: Problem first noticed evening of March 6th (no issue on March 5 and prior to that date)
Resolution attempts: deleted local PvZ GW save data, hard reboot of Xbox One (neither fixed the issue)

If you want the account to be investigated you will have to provide:
- Gamertag
- Platform
- Specific characters that were around prior to Feb 25th, but are no longer there (I assume same list as previously provided?)
