Am I Invisible, or Do People Just Hate Me In This Game?

While I will try to revive everyone I can--no matter which character I am, I do not get the same courtesy in return. I get most players just don't bother at all, which makes ZERO sense, as it takes so damn long to get to the objectives with these huge maps, you need to revive players to keep them nearby. But worse than that, I'm getting ignored by players who WILL revive someone down right next to me, then they both just move on, leaving me there like I don't even exist! And this isn't always happening in heat of battle, where it's too dangerous to chance it, it's like they just don't give a s--! Definitely make me feel unwelcome in these matches. Something I didn't ever feel in GW2. In that game, it was often quicker just to respawn rather than be healed by non-Sunflowers, so it didn't really matter. Here it does matter. And it's not a nice feeling to keep getting passed over while others right next to you get healed, then you get left behind. 😢

    Maybe a lot of players instantly respawn, I know I usually I do, because I've learned no one's coming to help me. But I'm surprised by how many players I see who will wait to be revived. I may be a ways away from them, and I fully expect them to poof before I can get to them, but usually, I can make it. I think those are the players who understand how important it is to be revived vs have to travel all the way back to the objective, and so they try and wait for revival, and usually, if I don't do it, no one else will. So I try to help them.

    I revive less than I used to, especially when not on a Sunflower or Scientist, but if I can revive someone and I don't think they're just going to get gunned down right after they get up, and I noticed we get a rainbow invulnerability effect in BfN, I will usually try. It's enormously useful with the longer run distances and once we get team vanquish, it can be the factor that turns a close loss into a victory.
