I get where you're coming from but no offense homie but I never played this hunt so I am excited (I've had this game for a while so I am not sure why I missed it), plus we have a large wave of new players from the holidays so it'll be nice for them. I want another shot at the Spooky Squash hunt too, that one was way too hard.
- 9 years agoNo offense to you either but I payed for this game at launch at full price and played mostly every day for the past year. We long time players should have to settle for repetitive modes to please the new comers. Just like like unicorn chomper if you missed out because you didn't play when it was available too bad. But it's popcaps poor decision making that's at fault. Their wait every week to play and unlock new items approach is the dumbest thing I've seen from a developer. They've stated that they wanted the game to be a new experience every week but I don't understand why they don't have the mystery portal open at all times and change the mode every week. And for new comers boss hunt could be a separate game mode like garden ops is and you can pick which hunt to play there adding a new one to the play list once it premiers in the mystery portal. Their approach to this is just dumb.

In all honesty it's a little unrealistic to expect that there will be an endless string of completely new Boss Hunts; there will be a point where they will repeat and while I admit that I was disappointed to see "The Brothers Gnomus" make a return so soon I actually welcome it as a quick and easy counterbalance to the frustratingly difficult challenge of "The Kings Day Out" which repeatedly chewed up and spat out the droves of new players experiencing their very first Boss Hunt and which made it so difficult for the veteran players to find a decent randomly assigned team.
With any multiplayer oriented game the amount of DLC and expansions will be limited- all franchises eventually begin to see their development time being moved to new projects or tasks and eventually the "All New" content streaming to any game just dries up.
Not that I want to argue but I've invested hundreds of hours of playtime just as you have but I really have to question why you repeatedly return to a game which you find to be so full of what you consider to be an endless string of poor decisions.
- 9 years agoThe reason I come back is because I'm a loyal fan of the franchise and I have fun playing this game. But as of lately my interest has been fading. With continued disappointment in the direction of this franchise I've lost interest in it.
