It's not about replicating everyone's abilities on the opposing side, it's about checks and balances. Why isn't it fair for at least one character to be able to counter that twister? Chomper is the only one that even comes close, but even he is hampered by it. Yet, it's possible to stop the chompers signature move. Where is the balance for that twister?

@ChikoWiko Everything is good in large numbers, in theory. In reality nobody is playing him to attack.

- ApprovedAnonymous10 years agoTwister it pretty fine. If you get caught by it you shouldn't get a trump card to get out of it. What would the point be of trying to catch your target if they can get out of it? The only thing I would agree on is super brainz stopping the turbo twister once he gets gooped or about to be eaten by chomper.

Spikeweed stops it, straight up.
Pre patch goop slowed it down but didn't stop it, now it's even faster than before and goop is glitched to bits, goop barely does anything to it now.
Need to Burrow or Spikeweed, and Spikeweed isn't practical if he's directly on you.
Burrow isn't practical either but works, that leaves your pants down to everyone else...in the middle of everything with barely any health left!

If you feel it a balanced move something that can easily kill 3-4 plants in few seconds... I would add to this that superbrainz got that jump, that speed and the kick which is a great gap closer and you actually can't really keep him far from you. And even if you keep it far, he's an excellent sniper (with 200 hp).- ApprovedAnonymous10 years ago

both easy to play, low risk, high reward and game changing
bad kit design
insane burst
Usually are those factors to make something op. When someone has half of them is considered borderline Op, and when most Op.
he has all. KAPPA.
Low counterplay when comes in your faces
he has dash and high jumps to get away
200 hp, pretty forgiving
nice damage overall and nice range
crowd controls and innate tankyness while in turbo twister
very mobile with jumps, dash and base movespeed.
easy to play, low risk, high reward and game changing? oh yes, seriously.
bad kit, a tank that can catch you in a that turbo twister with a instant dash is a bad game design
insane burst: well this one.. at least medium
Well, seems in this game counterplay is not always an option because they wanted to have a balanced game where Pros couldnt have a too much excessive impact, which i agree, since is a casual game for casual gamers, but there's a limit. :V
Ofc you can win in a enemy team full s.Zombie, but still this thing increase your %chances a lot, too much imho.
Op is not what is strong, Op is what make your chance to win more than picking an other class.
And for his way to stop "turbo twister" well Rose is no more a thing and we'll probably dont see her shine anymore, have a single rose in a team is usually rare, well honestly i consider Rose trollpicking and way useless, but hypsters are always a thing, Empeach takes a lot to cast, and using PopCorn Jump could make you go in front of your enemies unless he doesnt come from behind 🙂

The EMPeach cancels it instantly. The Goatify cancels it instantly. The Time Snare cancels it instantly. Corn can use his jump ability to stay almost perfectly above the twister and mow him down.
Spike Weed it a bit random as it may get destroyed. And the Chomper can trade a bit of health for the insta kill on the twister.
It's not bad.

What this guy says. They are so many ways to counter or nullify it that no one can really complain about it.
I am on the fence about him being able to hit you if he gets frozen or burrowed though. Its a tolerable bug for now, just like a solider being able to zpg you while its in your mouth.

With the RPG though, that's really on you as having bad timing. Sometimes you think you can get him before the rocket goes off, but you're wrong and you die. With chomping, unless you wait until Brainz completely stops twisting, there is a good chance you will die if you don't have a lot of health. And if you have to wait for him to stop, then what's the point? He'll kill anyone else nearby, turn the base if on offense, or stop your team on defense, and if you were tunneling safely into the base and he starts twisting, so you have to wait until he stops, you may run out of tunneling time and will get killed too.
Rose can be a counter but unfortunately, I'm seeing very few people choosing to play as her now that she's been down graded. And peach still needs to get close to stun him, which he's probably more likely to die in the process than Brainz is.
