Any Nightcap Tips?

I am a player who uses Nightcap frequently as one of my main characters. I do enjoy playing Nightcap, I find the piercing of her weapon useful and she has decent ammo, I have especially started using her much more after the final update that happened just over a month ago or something like that.

I run a revive build with the upgrades 

  • Clear Coating (only takes half damage while invisible).
  • Incubate (revives happen twice as fast in the Casting Shadows).
  • Refreshing Revive (get my abilities back very fast when earning a revive).
  • Rough Patch (I cannot equip any other upgrades).

But, I would like more tips. Does anyone have any?

    Your main skill to be a really good nightcap is your aim while jumping.  Practice in giddy at random times by just picking an object and keeping your crosshairs on it. In pvp, your aim assist will take care of the rest

    @TheSprinter85 Four tips for being a good nightcap:

    1.Avoid predictable movement, use the first enter jump with double jumps, sometimes do not jump, you are small use this to your advantage.

    2.Here are quick tips on how to handle the basic mechanics of the character, standing still, your feet do not release particles, it is possible to reload invisible or in the middle of the fung fu and know how to handle your skills cooldown, especially the Shadow sneak

    3.Avoid classes that give you a headache, 80's, engineer, dead beard and All star

    4.By far casting shadows is the best skill, it has defensive, offensive and support functions

    @TheSprinter85 You can reload during Fung Fu, going in someone else's casting shadows with clear coating still gives you armor and if a zombie is vanquished in casting shadows with corrode the zombie keeps the effect after being revived.

    @TheSprinter85 My tip might not be as good as the others, but I'll try anyway: Don't use the big, colorful hats. Nightcap has many skins that blend into the environment. I'm colorblind, so I've noticed not noticing some stealth NightCaps before on mostly green maps 🙂

    I don't play nightcap but based on the good ones I've played I'd say:

    1) Only shoot people in the back / third party

    2) Bunny hop like crazy

    TIPS SEEN IN THIS VIDEO

    1. If engaging with shadow sneak (which you want to do as often as possible), travel in the air so they don't see your footsteps as often
    2. You usually want the first hit when you are fighting someone
    3. When fighting 80s, fight him either really up close or kind of far away. Medium range is the easiest distance for a good 80s to fight you. In this video I am close/medium range.
    4. Throw the shadow dome right on you, and fight side of it it. This is an obvious HUGE advantage
    5. While in shadow dome, try to still fire while jumping (you dont want them to get a lucky hit on you)
    6. Get use to corner glitching (sorry folks, its a necessity)

    TIPS SEEN IN THIS VIDEO 

    1. A pirate will wait for you to peak a corner because they are greedy for that 1 shot kill. This is where you corner glitch, they will stay to tank most hits because they really want that 1 shot kill. Before they know it, they are dead
    2. When you don't have the advantage of getting the first hit, like if you get ambushed from someone who is corner stalking you, then this is a good time to leave especially if you dont know his skill level. Throw a shadow down at him or yourself, and sneak out of there
    3. nightcap's primary weapon has a very slow travel speed, so learn how to lead your shots at any given distance
    4. CAUTION WHEN FIGHTING A PIRATE HEAD ON. the best thing to do is jump shoot and never stay still, duh. (if they are good, and they kill me in this scenario, then I will remember him and not do that again)
    5. Jumping out of a shadow dome with shadow sneak is a great way to travel unnoticed
    6. EMPHASIS on learning to jump shoot
    7. Shadow sneak out of a hostile environment if you don't know exactly who is around you.

    1. Stay away from medium range, 80s will kill you way faster than you can kill him
    2. Try to sneak behind him
    3. MORE EMPHASIS on jumping shooting. (I didnt at the end of the kill because i knew I could kill him since he had no tags on me)
    4. Sneak out when in medium range. (both these clips, It is more like medium / borderline close range)
    5. Stalk your prey, and try to get out of his sights. Then finish him off.
    6. Optimum range for 80s aim is what you see in this video to about twice the distance.
