Any Update on Child Accounts!?

It's a bit awful I need to necro this.... After just getting a PS4 and Plants vs Zombies I ran into this exact issue. Seems the game reads the PS account birthday and refuses to give you a chance to enter the child's origin account info.  You let me create an kids origin account but say it's too young to play when the game is launched.  How is this even a thing? And considering the necro been a thing for a long time.  I have an 8 yo that can play the 10+ game, and then another that is nearly 7 but says he is too young.  I do agree that he is too young for online interaction but aren't parents responsible for parenting what thier kids can and cannot do?  And how old does he actually have to be before you let him login? Somewhere between 6 and 8 year old... How long do I have to tell him to wait till he can play? A few weeks or a year and a few weeks? lol
