Based on the information provided, it seems that you're encountering an error message stating that you haven't activated Plants vs. Zombies on Origin, even though you've been able to play it before. Here are a few suggestions to help resolve this issue:
- Verify your game's activation status: Double-check the activation status of Plants vs. Zombies in your Origin game library. Ensure that the game is correctly registered and activated under your account. If it appears as activated, try deactivating and then reactivating it to refresh the activation status.
- Restart Origin and your computer: Close the Origin client completely and restart it. Additionally, reboot your computer to ensure that any temporary issues are cleared and the client starts fresh.
- Repair the game files: In your Origin library, right-click on Plants vs. Zombies and select "Repair Game." This option will scan the game files for any errors or missing components and attempt to fix them.
- Clear Origin cache: Clearing the Origin cache can help resolve various issues. To do this, go to the "Application Settings" in Origin and select "Advanced." Click on "Clear Cache" and confirm the action. Then restart Origin and try launching the game again.
- Update Origin: Make sure that you have the latest version of Origin installed. Check for updates in the Origin client and install any available updates.
Contact Origin support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's recommended to reach out to Origin support directly. They have access to specific account and activation information and can provide more personalized assistance to resolve the problem. - EA_Cath3 years ago

Hi @7u677 , in the meantime we got info that this bug is generalised and is being investigated at the moment. Apologies for the inconvenience! So I own the standard edition of Plants Vs. Zombies. Installed it today after not having it installed for a long time. Now it's giving me an error message saying it can't activate Plants Vs. Zombies game of the year edition.
That's not what I own, or what I am trying to play. It's asking me for a product key. I tried to enter the product key for my edition of the game, but I can't even get to that part. When I click the "Enter product key" button, it says "An error has occurred. We've noticed your computer is offline." and tells me I need to be online to activate my product. Clearly I am not offline. Neither is my EA app.
I've tried repairing the game. Uninstalling/Reinstalling. Turning EA app offline and back online again. Also turned off EA app completely and relaunched. None of these have worked.
What can I do to resolve the issue?
