Audio Level Still Too Low

The volume of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 1 was at a great level. With GW2 I have to turn up the volume on my headphones (using Astro A40 TR) considerably to get about the same level of loudness. Would be nice if it were on par with the first Garden Warfare.

Edit: This is for both Xbox One and PS4.

I'm running the PC version, but I had the same problem. Not sure if this is the same, but on the PC, the audio defaults to "Surround" instead of stereo - changing it to stereo sound significantly boosted the volume level.

Audio options on console are limited to a Master Volume + Music Volume slider and a few dynamic range options. I have Master Volume maxed and dynamic range set to high. Nice that you found something of help!

Also on a related note, each match I play there are still times where sound effects do not play when they should. Usually this occurs when there is a bit more action occurring. Frame rate could still use improvement on consoles.

  • I'm having the same problem and I tried changing it from High to Zombox and still sounds low. When I play GW1 everything sounds great!

Yeah, hope they fix this. Don't want to have to change the audio settings to stereo on the PS4 itself. Not a good solution.

Zumbox option was pretty amazing on GW1, now on GW2 many sounds are weird, the background sound music is very low, some effects as well. This is sad because i loved so much the sound effects of GW1
