Better Categorize System for Customization?

There is a lot of customization in GW2... a lot a lot. Like thousands upon thousands of customization options. Wouldn't it be great to be able o better categorize these customizations so that it's easier to select and find? I propose only showing the default customization in the customization menu, then, once selected, you can choose between silver, gold, diamond, etc. It would make it less crowded and be easier to find stuff.

  • Considering that every accessory has 5 palette-swap variants  shuffling them into sub menus would make it less tedious to scroll around looking for what you want.

That will be good. But I suggest adding filter system on top current system. After choosing the default customization menu, You will have an option button to open up filter, where you can tick which category you want to show only, and the untick category will not be shown once you filter. For example.

    Filter by:

    all (default A-Z)
    common /uncommon /rare /super rare/ legendary /Special,

    Silver /Gold /Diamond /Gem /Infinity /scrumptious,

    Favourite.

For addition, add a system where you can mark some of the customization as favourite. When you tick only favourite to be shown, the customization where you marked as favourite will be shown. This will be more convenience if you like only some of the customization, and you want change between them without finding in hundreds of customization.

I was thinking along similar lines last night. It can be a bit of a chore to scroll through the long lists and honestly I'd love the customization UI have a QoL (Quality of Life) pass in general.

Organizing the customization options into categories and sub-categories, displaying more than a single column of options at a time (like say a 5x5 grid or something), allowing filters and search by key word(s), etc.

As more and more customizations are added it seems we need an easier way to peruse and select the options we want.
