BfN on Switch Nintendo!?

It's not official but there's something on horizon:

  • I've heard of this over the weekend too. I'm curious about why now considering it won't get any more updates. Maybe they're testing the platform for a follow-up game (One can hope)?

  • @Fiky39 Yeah, I saw that video this morning. Hopefully, if the game gets put on Switch, more players will play it. It is very unlikely for the game to get more updates, I understand that, but at least the player base might rise.

@Iron_Guard8 If I am not mistaken, I remember looking at a link that was posted in the forums before the game's cancellation, about 7 games coming to Switch next year (well, this year now), and BFN was actually one of those games. Perhaps, they are still going along with that, even with the game's cancellation. But it would be awesome if it means something significant, such as what you suggested! 🙂

  • It's a bad idea, but it's likely. With the lack of substantial updates & questionable performance, it's possible for this to be real but whether this was the right decision is debatable.

Being familiar with the Nintendo community rhetoric of "I'm right just because it happened," BfN on Switch isn't out of the question. However, I'm worried that it'll perform poorly, given the frame rate in public Giddy Park (since the last time I've played); in terms of releasing it now when it's no longer being updated won't give it the longevity, at least until players dry it of content & fun.

This rumor has existed since day one of Founders. It's more likely than not gonna happen, maybe as a way for EA to dabble in the Switch. But unless this means more updates down the line, I can't see myself returning.
  • @Fiky39 How is that going to run on Switch? Console performance is lacking as it is. It's not happening, they should've put GW2 on Switch instead. Also, remember how we were discussing ways for Popcap to keep the game alive? It seems to me that they just want the game to die.

I was wondering about performance on the Switch as well. I've seen videos on how badly it's run for some people on more powerful consoles and some PC setups, I can't imagine it running well on the Switch.

  • @Fiky39 This seems to me very interesting, it seems like a perfect opportunity to make a big advertisement, to reach a large audience something that was not done at the launch.

@Fork_x_Spoon@shurikeninjanot to mention non existent marketing of a cancelled game, competitve market of the switch having better offers (unless you buy everything labelled pvz most buyers will most likely turn away to better games) , and lack of cross play will most likely just result in an awful playercount even lower then pc.
