Black Screen: DirectX Error

For the past 3 days i've been trying everything that was suggested on this forum in a failled attempt to run this game, but nothing seems to fix it! Every time that i try to launch the game i receiv...

Hey @Beowullfx

Thanks for all the information you've provided.

We did some research, and there are a couple steps you can try, to see if this helps:

1. Update from DVI-D to HDMI:  https://answers.ea.com/t5/Dragon-Age-Inquisition/Directx-function-quot-FindClosestMatchingMode-quot-failed/td-p/6391565

2. Turn off Scaling in Nvidia Control Panel:  https://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-4/DirectX-Error-quot-FindClosestMatchingMode-quot/td-p/4223724

@iluminatetheskyOMG man i dont have words to express how thankful i am, i've been trying everything possible and nothing worked for me, i contacted EA support 3 times, Nvidia support and nobody ever found a solution for my case, after all this time you came here with this simple change and now the game works just as it should! You really are a HERO!
