Blight Cap Boss Fight - Zombie Town Center!
Greetings friends,
On my thread here, I am going to provide information about getting up to the Blight Cap boss fight (which is the final part of the main story in Zombies Town Center), and I will cover the boss fight itself to some extent. I will also provide links that you can check out so you are aware on how to defeat Blight Cap, if you are unsure. If you complete the entire main story in Zombies Town Center, you will get a bunch of medals along the way and a significant amount of rewards at the end.
To actually get up to the Blight Cap boss fight, you must begin your journey by completing 4 quests first. You must use the Stink Bomb (which you gain access to by completing these 4 quests) to access the Boss Gate, by using and controlling it to destroy the Fungal Barricades, and allow access into the Boss Gate. To do this, you need to find 4 specific characters located around the map and talk to them. If you do, they will ask you to complete a quest. When you accept it and complete the quest successfully, by following the instructions properly, you will get a piece of equipment towards the Stink Bomb (which allows you access to the Boss Gate by destroying the Fungal Barricades in the way). You will also get a medal and a bunch of coins alongside. There are Stink Bomb locations located across the whole map, some of these can be used to unlock collectible items, by using the Stink Bombs to destroy other Fungal Barricades that are located across the map. Look for Dr. Real Doctor, who is located very close to where you first appear in Zombies Town Center. He should almost be right in front of you, and will offer you a quest when talked to. Make sure to also look for an Electric Slide in Sundrop Hills (named Power Cora, located at the Gas Station) and an 80s Action Hero in Up-Down Uptown (named Brick Fistmissile, located at the Cinema). If you interact with any of these characters, you will be offered a quest from them. If you successfully complete all of them, you will earn all the pieces for the Stink Bomb, which allows you to remove the Fungal Barricades at the Boss Gate, and can then enter the Boss Gate. You can also use the Stink Bomb to destroy other Fungal Barricades across the map to gather other collectibles, such as Golden Chests for example.

When all of your quests have been fully completed and you are ready to take Blight Cap head on (well sort of, have you seen her head?), locate the Boss Gate. It is located in Sundrop Hills (at this location). There is a Stink Bomb location right there as you head towards it, use it to destroy the Fungal Barricades in the way. Be cautious of which character you want to play as before you head through the Boss Gate - once you have picked your character and headed through the Boss Gate, you cannot respawn or change your character, unless you back out, so be mindful of that.
The Blight Cap fight, once you understand how it works and you know what you need to do, should not give you too much trouble. There are some steps you must complete before you can trigger the boss fight, so make sure you complete those first. She has a few phases where she is invulnerable, so you must collect garbage around the area (without being seen by Blight Cap) and use it to power the nearby Stink Bomb Launcher, which you use to fire a Stink Bomb at her and disable her invulnerability. She has many different attacks, so try to learn how they work and always try to avoid them as they can do loads of damage. My Blight Cap Tips!
My personal tips for having an easier time defeating Blight Cap are as follows:
- Whenever possible, keep moving around. You are more likely to avoid the attacks of Blight Cap.
- Use the cover provided in the area to heal up when you're low or have taken a lot of damage. Lots of Blight Cap's attacks do not penetrate solid objects.
- Characters with lots of health, shields or healing capabilities are really useful because you have increased survivability.
- When picking up the garbage to place in the Stink Bomb Launcher, your abilities are negated, and you cannot sprint. So be careful not to let Blight Cap see you and take it slowly if needed.
- Blight Cap has a massive hitbox, and moves quite slowly. For this reason, attacks and abilities that are slow to resolve or have a delay, such as Barrel Blast, Super Ultra Ball or ZPG, is effective as you are less likely to miss and can aim before the ability is resolved.
- When charging the Stink Launcher, you must remain in the circle. When you do this, if enemies begin approaching, try and vanquish them quickly so they do not swarm you. Otherwise, if they do, use area of effect attacks.
- When lots of enemies, like Dandelions and Hypno-Shrooms, begin to swarm, your attacks and abilities that affect an area around you (e.g., Turbo Twister) to clear them out.
- Before entering the Blight Cap boss gate, consider what upgrades you are going to use.
The Rewards
If you manage to defeat Blight Cap, you get all of the following:
- 1,000 XP for the character you used to defeat her, if you do not have the levelling up upgrade.
- "Blighty Blight!" - a medal you earn for defeating Blight Cap.
- The Universal Zombie Hat - Thought Projector.
- 25,000 coins.
- Other rewards you receive along the way in Story Mode.
As long as you follow along the story and complete the quests successfully, and defeat Blight Cap, you will have completed the main story, and will have a wide pool of rewards waiting for you. Hopefully this guide makes this easier for you to do, and I'll see you around.
Regards
- @TheSprinter Thanks for the tag. Just read the guide and it's really useful, so thanks. I will be using it for when I decide to finally start the PvE region and stop procastinating it!
