Eventually I got a sequence of repeating numbers on the final two, fence, mower, fence, etc. Also if you use the Imp you can skip the last two icons on the final puzzle by hovering over them to the platform. Trust me, you can do it.
Find simple little one syllable words for everything, and combine if possible. I combined "watering can" and "teacup" (looked like one to me) into either "cup" or "pot"... since between those two they NEVER seem appear on the same row. On one particular run, it was watering can, teacup, watering can, teacup at the beginning... so just saying the entire section all the way through... it was easy to say "pot" "pot" pot" pot" four times in a row.
And me personally, I repeated everything ALOUD on my way to the symbols, then I would repeat ALOUD each symbol I stepped on. Occasionally I would mess up and have to guess... surprised myself when I got those right.
