It sounds from your description that this one is just as hard? If so, I'll probably just ignore it. I saved up 50 stars from the cats vs dinos for this very reason.
It's not even hard. The problem is that this one requires a ton more team work than the last boss hunt did since you actually have to go through stages to harm the boss. It's easier than the last one when you know what to do. Just like the first boss hunt you need to give some people time to learn what to do.
So far the only problem i have is with the candy stage because if one player who doesn't have the bucket eats the sour candy (which instantly kills them btw but they keep eating it for some reason) they screw over the entire team since you don't get extra time from that thus everyone dies. It's the hardest part to pass for that reason
and my experience with these kind of players is they are doing this on purpose they dont care they are just there to * everyone off cause making a team rage quit is funny to them aka its the typical trolls THIS is why boss hunt in this game is a bad idea WITHOUT a kick option on consoles
Somehow I managed to wound up beating Crazy Mode just now...We had an Astronaut, Toxic Brains, Goat2000, and Computer Scientist. Queued with superjesse.

Krusnik0113-Hey man! I was the Goat3000 for that crazy boss hunt with you and Superjesse124. Those were some PERFECT runs!!! Goat boosting Toxic Brainz, Scientists anchoring then coming down to heal...went very smooth.

It was going to be possibly one of the hardest boss hunts I had to do, especially on Crazy Difficulty. But I just got the boss hunt done on crazy difficulty with just an hour left before it eventually closes. I have all the different versions of Spooky Squash's Bucket now.
Next time they do another boss hunt, they must reduce the near-impossible difficulty for each difficulty level. I don't want to go through that kind of pain again. Nor should everyone. It's high-time the dev team listens to us on this.

Quite a task, but we did manage to complete Crazy difficulty. I'm glad to be moving on with the Scrumptious Spooky Squash's Bucket and one more trial key in my possession.
It may be an insane challenge, but is by no means impossible... Granted that your team consists of only the very BEST characters (which you're not going to get by randomly jumping into a game, 70% of randoms you encounter aren't very bright).
As said, our team setup included Toxic Brainz, Astronaut, Computer Scientist, and the Hover Goat-3000.
Our strategy was simple. The two Scientists anchored the Guardian, while Toxic Brainz and the Goat proceeded to vanquish the Champion.
The Scientists should use the Heal Beam of Science and the Mega Heal Ball, but any good Scientist would know this already.
Should Toxic Brainz get low on health, they should try to avoid the Guardian Torchwood until it powers down back to normal.
Toxic Brainz then proceeds to take the Haunted Bucket, while the two Scientists keep him alive, and the Goat providing damage and speed with its abilities.
After taking three candies from three Champions, the Sugar Rush kicks in and everyone rushes to wail on the Epic Spooky Squash.
It is important that Toxic Brainz reactivates Toxic Overload when it wears off by punching the Squash. Have someone else get close to the Squash to make it do its stunning smash attack, so Toxic Brainz won't have to worry about being stunned while throwing his punches.
Toxic Brainz's punches will deal more damage to the boss than his laser, as well. So after the Squash does its smash attack, go in for some punches, back off, and attack with the Toxic Beam.
After the Sugar Rush ends, the cycle repeats again. And after the second Sugar Rush, Two Big Stumps spawn. Take them out before anchoring the next Guardian.
Following a simple cycle, and not having to worry about idiots taking the bucket, or eating the candy when they don't have the bucket makes things a whole lot easier, and should result in defeating the Epic Spooky Squash in 3 to 4 Sugar Rushes. Just make sure to take out those Heroes, they can get in the way at the worst of times.

A bit late reply I know but it was definitely difficult but my friend and I were able to win on crazy Saturday after several close ones that were lost from silly issues. There was one crazy mode where I was toxic brainz and we only needed one sugar rush to defeat the epic squash when the soldier grabbed the candy while I was waiting to heal before grabbing it; we still had over 5 minutes left to take him down and he was under 1/4 health and the soldier almost instantly died and our retry was already used so it was rage inducing to be sure.
So many teams not understanding to stay in the anchor circles was a huge hurdle at first and honestly it seemed odd not to figure out that every time either graveyard reverts to a white circle from people leaving that the guardian despawns! The sour candy issue took longer to ascertain which was understandable but also frustrating. We finally beat crazy with a toxic brainz, party Imp, and my friend and I were both astronauts and we both use the heal beam and the mega-heal ball which I found immensely useful in this boss hunt. Toxic Brainz was great here as you can enter toxic mode a lot from all the adds and the self-heal along with huge damage was excellent for being the bucket zombie.
If the squash came up by the anchors it was a nightmare. Even never shooting it at all it will turn and spit or breathe fire at you, this caused a lot of setbacks. I use energy warp on my scientists so when he came by I found it handy to remain in the anchor and take no damage till he wandered off. It was highly annoying to have a team that apparently knew what to do but the squash parks up by the graves and won't leave while spewing fire constantly!
Overall I like boss hunts a lot but they need to make their mechanisms more obvious for the random teams we end up with. As a long time raider in MMOs like WoW, SWTOR, EQ, etc., this reminds me of those raids a lot but as a shooter I find them more fun if very frustrating when the team is not working together well.
