@realitysquared & @dwooten77 Yep, same map, same disastrous end-game. Two of us trying to carry the bombs while the rest of my team were over at the end objective staking out the objective & plant spawn.
These events frustrate everyone but all that behaviour isn't about the challenges. And it's most definitely not about trying to win the game.
I've done little PvP in recent months because of this kind of thing & was hoping sorting team-swapping might ease it.
The majority of the matches I have don't feel like they're about the game anymore - they have a nasty feel to them.
Maybe it's happening because it's too easy to dominate using certain characters, or because players are rewarded so highly for vanquishes over everything else, or simply a generational attitude.
I have to finish the prize map for my son as he desperately wants the Snapdragon costume, but I mastered the last of my characters last night, finished the prize map & emptied Reward-O-Tron a while ago.
I've made a few new friends in the forum, but we're different time-zones & none of my GW friends have stayed with BFN.
I sadly now have little incentive to stay with the game. I'd like to continue & see what happens with the changes ahead because I really do think this game has massive potential but I'm really struggling this morning to find the heart. In GW2 I was elated to finish mastering & it felt like just the beginning - here I just feel flat.
If I'm not enjoying PvP there feels little point, as that's the bread & butter of the game. For someone who has loved G & G and TT for years & spent 1000s of hours in PvP, I find it truly heart-breaking.

This game is such a rollercoaster... some days it feels better and you have hope and the next day it feels off and the huge doubts that it will ever improve creep in yet again. Hang in there... we need you ❤️🙂
I cannot for the life of me understand why the developers are not (or seem not to be anyway) taking on board the mass exodus of faithful, long term players from the game due to pure frustration. If they talked about all the real issues for us, had true transparency and acknowledged our concerns properly I'm sure many would hang about to await a better experience. But as it is, so far anyway, this has not happened.
It is truly very sad to watch long time players grow tired and weary of the game and the waiting for all the myriad of disappointments to be addressed.
Here's hoping that the live stream on Friday answers some of our many questions and concerns....

@realitysquared Oh boy! What a broken mess. I completely agree, this mode is not designed for 8v8. I'm stuck on the second challenge but there is no way. Just steamroll the other team - in that case you most likely spawn the boss - or get steamrolled - in that case you have no chance to vanquish the Boss because the other team is wiping the floor with you. At least that was my todays experience. Thanks @asabaida for your support though. It was kind of fun to see our corpses lying next to each other :D

@ippig It took ages for me and my brother to do the second challenge … but managed to complete it! 🙂 Honestly, this one can be easy, because you don't have to do much damage to vanquish the boss, but actually getting the opponents to summon it and your team actually vanquishing it is the challenge in itself.
We managed to do it on the Peachy District … we lost the game but we both hammered the boss (Baron Von Bats), along with some other teammates. This mode can be very annoying because the challenges require you to stray away from the objective at times! 👍
I must agree with you - there needs more players in this event like the 12v12. 🤔
@ToastedSarnie @asabaida Please don’t start crying. Cuz then I’m gonna start, then splash will cry. And he whimpers like a puppy. Before you know it we’re all going to be crying. There’s just not enough chocolate and kitten videos to support it.
- @TheSprinter85 Yes, indeed. Maybe next match luck is on my side. Actually I almost managed to kill a boss in my very first round today but @asabaida decided to heal the Boss while I was emptying (is that even a word?) my clips into it. Yes I am talking to you @asabaida :D

Back on-topic, I'm honestly not sure what'll improve this mode most.
Challenges being team rather than player based might be a good start? Random boss spawning rather than chests?
That's not going to solve all the problems though, because there are issues with how TT is even without the event. - @ToastedSarnie Agreed. Auto spawning bosses might be the best idea. The players won't be bothered with opening chests and could focus on the objective.
Or the chests could just spawn at the objective. I haven't even touched this one to be honest but after the previous one, I don't doubt it's a mess. It's compounding the issues 8v8 already has and that's not a good thing. I've skipped some of the less exciting events in GW2 too (Corns vs. Imps with infinite ammo was awful as just one example), so I'll do it here too but I'd rather have events that are actually enjoyable and preferably, balanced as much as possible. I still think bosses in TT could spice them up, but not in the current form. Get rid of the chests, have the bosses either spawn somewhat randomly or help the losing team, and that could be fun I would think. It sounds better than the current iteration at least.

@Iron_Guard8 Unless you're really wanting those rainbow stars, it's probably a very wise decision not to do this event it you don't need to, only because it's a mode where many people are distracted very easily and leave the objective.😛

- @Iron_Guard8 If you need help to get this done as quickly as possible I could lend you a hand. I was able to complete the challenge with some friendly help from @asabaida. I'm sure she will join us.
I wouldn't mind playing with you guys more often in general @ippig and @asabaida . The time difference causes issues though. The time we played so much I was off work at the time, for example as I type this, still have 5 hours of work left.
I'm not too worried about the stars from the weeklies to be honest. I bought 2 of the biggest star packages and still have a bunch left as we've happily been getting a lot of repeats in Rux's store.

I was thinking last night " wow, I really hate this mode." But then I realized I really don't. It's fun when I'm not being steamrolled or steamrolling the other team. More players would help it out and it could be reworked a bit as mentioned in other areas of the thread but it isn't an awful concept.
Turns out I HATE the challenges and that's bleeding out into frustration at the mode. I am so frustrated at spending so much time, energy, and focus on them when they (at least the first two) aren't important to winning the game and rely so much on some teamwork to do a side goal that often has no effect on how the game goes or doesn't even come up if the steamrolling is really going strong. I finally got the first one done with absurd luck. I played 10 more games and never had a chance at finishing a boss because it all moved too fast to get a boss or to keep a boss long enough to vanquish. All the problems with 8v8 are amplified drastically trying to complete this week's map.
So I have changed my general thoughts about this. Mode = could be great with tweeks. Challenges = that brown emoji people are so fond of in game.
