Bought Toxic Brainz from Gnome Guy and I don't have it!

I bought Toxic Brainz from the gnome guy today. I don't generally complain in a public forum, however support was no help and told me to post this here. I bought, actually bought, coins to get this character and it's not in my game. The Gnome Guy says I have it. But it's not in my game. Is there a threshhold level for it? Or is this a glitch that is in my game?

  • You bought one sticker.  The legendary characters have two sticker pieces.  You can check it out in the sticker book in the stats room.  It must be disappointing since you thought you were buying the whole character.  But 1M for a legendary character sticker is pretty good, you can easily buy 1M worth of sticker packs without getting any legendary stickers.  It is a very long grind to earn the many millions you must spend in order to get all the legendary characters.

    I recommend against spending real money for in game coins.  You can earn 60-80K per hour playing ops or turf takeover, plus if you are always leveling up characters while doing so, you'll earn 20K every time you promote a character to the next rank.

    Thanks so much for the reply. It implied I received the entire character. It would have been nice though if support had that answer and saved me a lot of frustration and grief. The answer is very much appreciated!  I generally don't buy coins but I was salivating over the new character and I SUCK at the multiplayer ones. Can anyone say dead all the time? (I do play co op)🤒

  • Unfortunately the people over in EA Support can't possibly know all the details of all of the games that they publish, and judging by the number of people posting here about their contacts with the customer service area pretty much bear that out, but that's pretty much to be expected- I think you'd need to be phenomenally lucky to actually have your inquiry answered by someone in their customer service area who was as familiar with a quirky, sort of fringe area, game like Garden Warfare 2 as many of the players who frequent and Answers forum, which is why they tend to direct people here where other knowledgeable veteran players can help them.

    @NumbersWoman -

    Unless you get extremely lucky, you're unlikely to get more than one or two legendary stickers before you have all of the other characters.  For a point of reference, I've just finished getting the legendaries after having spent just over 31M coins.  I got lucky and got one or two of those stickers from the community chests.

    I strongly encourage you to try multiplayer more as time goes by.  In turf takeover, it doesn't matter if you suck.  You earn 1K coins per minute in the game.  So if you play a game that goes all the way, even if you don't kill a single thing, you'll earn 20-25K.  A half a year ago, I hated playing multiplayer for the same reason as you.  But as long as I keep playing the game I keep improving, and now I'm often near the top of the leaderboards.  If you like playing sunflower or scientist, try establishing a safe place somewhat near the action and just support your team.  You can still end up on the podium as heal master.  Playing against humans sharpens your skills, but it takes patience.

    I find in this game that the more I stretch my comfort zone and try new things, the more fun I end up having.
