Bounty Hunts Guide - Zombie Town Center!

Greetings everyone,

On this thread I am going to give my tips to successfully complete the 3 bounties that are located in Zombie Town Center. These are different from both Ops and Battle Chests - they are located in different parts of the region and require you to complete specific objectives. I will also cover how to earn the Bounty Permit. Without this Permit, you cannot begin them. The rewards you will get by completing all of your Bounties include Coins and Tacos, which is good if you want those. If you are unsure on how to actually complete the bounties, I will provide some links from the PvZ Wiki which cover to some extent on how to complete them, then I will add some of my own personal tips to give you an even easier time completing them!

Where are the Bounties Actually Located?

In Zombie Town Center, there are a total of 3 different Bounties. Each region has one Bounty each, one in Pressure Pier, one in Up-Down Uptown and the last one in Sundrop Hills. The Bounties are quite distinctive - they are signified by a lot of boxes and traps that are stacked together. Each Bounty asks to complete a certain objective, continue looking at this post if you would like some help with them!

How to Claim your Bounty Permit and Rewards

To get a hold of your Bounty Permit, you need to talk to Bart Barian. He is located at the far north of Up-Down Uptown, near the back edge of the map. He is located near the Bounty in Up-Down Uptown. Without this Permit you are unable to attempt Bounties, and they will be locked, so make sure you go to him first. You only have to talk to him - no further actions are required apart from beginning the Bounties towards your rewards. To claim your rewards, after you have successfully completed all 3 of your Bounties, talk to him again and he will give you your rewards. Enjoy them - you've earned them!

Sundrop Hills Bounty - Bitey Brothers!

To find out how to do this bounty, go here: https://plantsvszombies.fandom.com/wiki/Bitey_Brothers

My tips are as follows:

  • Stay in the circle whenever you can - this will force the Bitey Brothers to enter the circle to do any significant damage to you, if at all.
  • Engineer is a good choice for his challenge. He can stun them when they get close, but wait until they enter the circle. The Heavy Helper provides extra firepower.
  • Super Brainz is also a good choice because he is well suited for melee combat and can charge up his attack while the Bitey Brothers are not in the circle, or shield if his health gets low.
  • When the Bitey Brothers cluster, use attacks or abilities that have area of effect or that deals splash damage to your advantage, such as Crater Maker.
  • Try using Scientist with Steam Blaster if you have it. The steam is close-range, the Bitey Brothers tend to stay close to you so it's fine, and it has an area of effect. You can also heal yourself with the Sticky Healy if you want it.
  • Retreat and leave for a bit if your health is running out so you don't get vanquished, heal up and get back into the circle.

Up-Down Uptown Bounty - Tiger Klaus!

To find out how to do this bounty, go here: https://plantsvszombies.fandom.com/wiki/Tiger_Klaus

My tips are as follows:

  • It's important to vanquish the Acorns first before the Oak so you do not lose. Try to deal as much damage to the Acorns as possible before they jump on Oak.
  • You can actually use this Bounty Hunt to farm tacos, if you become good at completing it efficiently. If so, remember you have to wait a cooldown each time and practice first.
  • When you are attacking the plants, focus the Acorns on top first so you do not vanquish the Oak and to negate his healing.
  • Using Crater Maker from Space Station is extremely effective as you are most likely to vanquish the Acorns before Oak. Try using Assimilate (upgrade) and see how fun it can be.
  • Rocket Ride from 80s Action Hero is also really effective as you simply aim them at the Acorns on top and you should vanquish some, and damage the Oak. Use Free Ride (upgrade) and see how you go.
  • As always, seek cover if you are at low health and heal up quickly, then return to the fray.

Pressure Pier Bounty - Mirror-Shrooms!

To find out how to perform this bounty, go here: https://plantsvszombies.fandom.com/wiki/Mirror-Shroom

My tips are as follows:

  • If you can memorise where the Mirror-Shrooms first spawn, it gives you a chance to launch an attack as soon as they appear. They always appear in the same location.
  • Super Brainz is effective for this. You can use your Hyper Jump and Turbo Twister to pull them and deal damage to many of them, even while they are invisible, then start punching.
  • Crater Maker with Space Station, can do some work on chipping away at a lot of their health, do it when they are not invisible though.
  • Using 80s Action Hero is good against Nightcaps, also applies to Mirror-Shrooms. Use Tags to Can't Missile them even while invisible. Using upgrades that improve inflicting your Tags on enemies will help even more (e.g. The Huntsman).
  • Try Steam Blaster Scientist. You can use the Steam to hopefully damage the Nightcaps while they are invisible, and indicate where they are. You can also heal yourself
  • Remember, retreat if you reach low health for a bit.

Just remember that before you begin completing your Bounties, that you first claim your Permit by simply speaking to Bart Barian first, no extra actions are required before you can talk to him. Once you have completed all of your Bounties, talk to him again and he will give you rewards. Note that if you fail a Bounty, you will need to wait a short cooldown, but you can do them any amount of times at no cost.

Well, I hope that this guide proved helpful for some!

Regards
