I have now been able to successfully play a non-Pirate zombie on a Buried Treasure. However, I confirmed that a card containing a zombie in a gravestone CANNOT. I think I must have tried one of the new Triassic cards and didn’t realize that it was a gravestone. For the moment, I’ll mark this as the answer.
