Can not host group in split screen

@ljackf I'm a common split-screener, I play often with my brother on split-screen. I've heard that you can do this feature, you may need to check your settings on both of your consoles. The other thing is that this game currently has no cross-play so if you are playing on different consoles (Xbox One and PS4) you can't do this. You may want to check your settings on your consoles anyway, and each person's account settings, in case there is a restriction preventing you from all playing together. Both groups are on Xbox. When we try to combine the groups by joining one or the other we are told that we cannot because they are in split screen and can not host. It Appears intentional since you can not join a player already in the group via split screen.
I’m having this issue as well.
This seems like a bizarre omission.
I hope this gets fixed.
