CAN NOT SPLIT SCREEN!

Product: Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
Platform:Sony Playstation 4

In what game mode did the bug occur? Everywhere
Summarize your bug Can not use split screen. It worked the first time we played the game and now nothing. Very disappointing. I get the message ‘Failed to Start Split-Screen. There is no space in the group‘ .. even though there’s only one player in the group.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? by trying to get into split screen with a local player.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

Besides the first time we loaded the game, split screen has not worked. Very disappointing as my son and I enjoy playing GW2 together but now we can’t enjoy B4N together. When trying to go split screen we get the message ‘Failed to Start Split-Screen. There is no space in the group’ .. even though there’s only one player in the group. We tried reloading it to be a private game with AI, still got the same message. PLEASE fix this!!!!

    @Liam_DeeMaria Thank you for the post. If your son starts the game, can you join his account as the 2nd player, as a test?

    Can I check that neither of the accounts are set to Show as Offline?

    @EA_David I have the same issue. Once you use 2nd Microsoft account you are not able to use it second time to play split screen. To do it again you need to create another one, but also only of one-use.
    I tested this in many configuration and this is unfortunately serious bug.

    I have the same problem as well on Xbox One.

    I cannot join a game, nor do I appear in the friends list, even though we are friends. I don't have this problem with GW2 or other EA games.

    Other accounts on xbox can join, just not me.

    and again same issue appeared again on the PS4 after the latest patch, before it was kinda working but now PopCap guys have totally broke it. Please fix as I have seen in the patch notes says there is a fix for split screen, where is it ?

    Was there ever a solution here? Playing split screen with my son was the ONLY reason I bought this game.
