Can't access backyard background after update

Hey, thanks for replying! As it turned out, they hadn't gone through the whole long introductory battle that gets them to the "backyard". I got them through it today and now they have access. We're good now, but sure seems like a quirky, drawn-out way to get to split screen, lol. Thanks again for your willingness to help!

Are you on Pc or console? What was the name of the update? There might still be another update to install.
