Can't talk to people on PVZ Garden Warfare Xbox One

I can't talk to people on PVZ. There are people talking, but I can not hear them. My headset works with parties and other games, but not this one. Today, I got to talk to someone for the first time. ...

    It works when it wants to. Meaning sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes it works and then stops in the middle of the game. I have no privacy blocks or restricted access whatsoever on my xbox one
