Things That I'd Like to See Changed in the Next update:
- Maps: Okay, so this is a big issue for me. I find that the maps in Garden Warfare 2 are cluttered and claustrophobic in areas like capture points, and are very open everywhere else. This makes it so that there is not always a clear view of the objective, and you are a constant target to sniper classes and Rose. It also does not help that many of the maps are glazed over with a singular color (Zomburbia for example) which makes enemies harder to notice. The Garden Warfare 1 maps had a consistent design for many of the maps with a clear view on the objective most of the time. Although I appreciate the variety of map design in GW2, I miss the bright backyard feel and flow of maps in GW1.
- Rose: The PvZ team has already announced that Rose will be receiving a nerf, so I won't go into too much detail. But for ways to nerf this character, I suggest a smaller clip size, slower fire rate, slightly less damage, and a time decrease on how long Time Snare lasts.
- Imp: Impkata should get a buff with either more damage, or an decrease in the damage taken while it is active.
- Variants: Hopefully new variants will be introduced for the old and new characters. After porting all my characters from GW1 I was a little disappointed to see that all the GW1 characters had only two new unlockable variants.
- Sticker Shop: I feel that the 35,000 coin sticker packs should contain nine items instead of seven like the 20,000 coin packs did in GW1. Upon opening these packs I find myself with a small amount of customizations, which is a little upsetting.
- Speed: The overall speed of the characters feels sluggish compared to GW1. Even with using speed upgrades for the characters, I felt so much slower than in GW1 (although part of this could be because of the long open areas of the maps).
Other small complaints:
- Backing out from pause and spawn consumable menus feels delayed compared to GW1
- Can't open leaderboard when vanquished (you could in GW1)
- The Scientist heal beam/heal station and sticky bomb button slots should be switched to match GW1
- G&G and Herbal Assault should be two separate modes, with Turf Takeover still available
- The button to switch teams should be changed back to R1/RB
- You can't see the Turf Takeover meter when vanquished
- You don't earn coins if you leave mid-game
- Text for destroying drone is delayed
- You can't move while the animation for being revived is playing (you could in GW1)
Hopefully some of the things on the things on this list are resolved with patches/updates so that GW2 can feel just as good as GW1 did. Feel free to post what you want to see changed or what you think of my ideas below.
