I have been collecting photo files and reporting to EA also about the “possible cheating” going on in BATTLEZ. I have played a LOT of games and been beaten by players playing with low level plants and no sun producing plant. ‘Splain that?? I can’t . I have been deprived of winning streaks also and after playing so hard to win gauntlets and mints and using the gems that I played so hard to win and spent time watching the same boring videos over and over and finding out that there is no recourse (you will not be repaid for time and trouble or gem and gauntlets) I too am about to hang it up. The good thing is that I think BATTLEZ is almost over and soon there may be a new game where we only have to play against EA.
Most of the times I am 99% sure we are not playing against other players, but some simulations, and the cheaters are just bugs in EA AI. On different occasions I seen that if I play softly the opponent adapts. On other occasions even if I play hard the opponent manages to beat my score just before the end of the time. There are cases of scores that can not be reached not even with max lvl plants, 7 mil in a week when it`s hard to get 2,5 or jumping from 100k to 6 mil in 2 sec just before the time expires. The plants that are shown that the opponent used are just for mockup, I have seen shown the same plant with 2 different lvl used.
I totally agree that we aren't playing actual players live. It may be actual games that players have played, and simulations, but we aren't playing someone live. I've also noticed 2 other trends.
1. Streak manipulations.
As my streak get longs (around the 8 wins mark) the opponent's score starts to reach my personal record for that particular Battle. I think it's all a scheme to get players to spend gems, which I've stopped doing.
2. The league doesn't appear to have real people
Also, I've noticed that the league's leader board appears to match my frequency of play. Last time I advanced from Gold to Jade, the top scores were all in the 600s. This time, when I've played less regularly, the top scores are in the 300s. I think the leader board is just an algorithm and not actual players. The goal being to get push players to spend more time in the app, watch more adds for rewards, and optimize this behavior without burning people out.
Today I got another proof that we are not playing against other players, not even recordings of real players.
I played on my tablet, I was ranked first with 357 points, the "player" that was second after me had 332, I got a low battery message, closed the game and connected the tablet to charger than I got my phone, started the game. This was a max 5 min break from playing, to my surprise I was ranked second and the "player" that was before second with 332 points was first with 363 points! HOW? HOW DID HE GOT FROM 332 TO 363 POINTS IN LESS THAN 5 MIN?

YESSS. Okay so I thought I was going crazy. Because I was not really into the battlez. Because I honestly didn’t really know how to play and I didn’t know we got prizes. So recently I’ve been at it. Playing all out. And I am #1 currently but before I half assed it and always got third or second but the score was less than 100 points. Now I’m almost up to 500 and out of nowhere some person/AI. Idk. Started catching up hardcore. I had a lead of 100 points. 15 minutes would pass and boom my lead was only 30 points. How is the possible? I thought I was imagining things but yes I’ve noticed when my streak gets too high. The difficulty gets harder or I play people who’ve matched me and barely won or a ridiculous amount higher than me. And I had a feeling something was up so I thought to myself, I can’t be the only one. But thank you for confirming my theory. I’m definitely not gonna be wasting gems on this. Knowing it’s rigged basically. I’ve spent 3-4 yrs on this game building my coins and gems. To waste it ? Nah don’t think so.
I once was in silver league and guess what. I was competing with a player and he was getting like 6000 to 100000 points.how is that possible and in gold league one guy in first place got 247 crowns within 5 days by using max level plants and I suspected he might have hacked the game
The Cheating is still going on, nothing has been done about it, When I'm paying money to compete and then being wiped out by people who have Level 10 SpearMint minutes after it being released, that's crazy. When we had the Shadow Pea Shooter the other week, within minutes of starting the league there was a guy rocking it at Level 10. It's definitely an algorithm too for the matchmaking, I haven't got past Level 13 without retaining my streak for months, then I guarantee, I will be beaten again just before I got the 2 gauntlets prize. So that's 30 gems gone.
I'd also like to point out there's some sort of league switching going on, I've been leading a league, then from nowhere someone rocks up and beats me 100 points whilst I'm playing a match. I always take screen grabs of my league then compare who's in the league at the start and then by the end of the week, the names aren't always the same. I've seen YouTube videos of people hacking, so who's to say they're not also augmenting the leaderboard. The definition of a league is "a list of players who play each over a period for a championship". Not a list of augmented algorithms.
I too have asked for a refund of gems when a person won a league I was in who wasn't there at the beginning of the week. I never got a refund. I didn't even get a reply.
Out of courtesy for the committed honest players, EA need to sort this and level the playing field, group people in leagues of similar levelled plants and make the game fun and honest. We are being ripped off, if you are buying gems and there is no way to proceed without buying more that's nothing more than fraud. I wonder what the T&C's say about this.
We need to band together our Body of Proof should be enough multiple complaints with no action means they are complicit in the cheating we should all be compensated and should not have to go through all of this effort to prove ourselves they have taken no action and act as if they care but they truly don't they are doing the minimum and making excuses I am one of those people who gets highly upset and wants to do something about it no matter how drastic Guy Fawkes is a hero
I have seen this to. When the battle is over my score is way higher, but then it said I lost. I am how.
