10 years agoCitron nerfed too hard
After playing both the beta and the full release game, I have concluded that they have nerfed Citron a bit too hard. They originally designed him to be a mobile tank that can help defend or make a pu...

Disagree I think the citron is slightly stronger than it should be. Should receive a small nerf such as less hp or less damage done by weapon. I feel this way for most of the plant team as well.
It'd be cool if half the characters in the game didn't have a potential one-shot ability as well. Pea Shooter, Cactus, All-Star, Foot Soldier, technically Rose, Chomper, Kernel, kind've Captain Deadbeard and Super Brainz all * have abilities that hit between 100-200 for christ sakes. And that's when you don't account for abilities like the E.M Peach, Goop and Timeslow which don't one-shot you but pretty much set you up to be.
It'd be cool if I could go at least 1 match without dying instantly to something. It's like this is Battlefront or some *.
I don't know about the others one shot abilities really, but you mentioned Brainz, he can hit for 120, on a perfect direct hit, from a huge ball of energy that move at around 1/4th the speed of anything else in the sky. Most of the time when I fire it, I end up doing between 1-20 dmg. I do get some nice lucky hits for 120 every now and then, but they are few and far between.
Citron annoys me because when he's in ball, if he doesn't want to fight, good luck making him, and if he decides he wants to zip around and * you in ball form, he can do that also, then he can dis-spell any ability I have up and make it to where I can't do anything except autoattack for most of the time what is the length of my toons life, which to me, is as you said, in essence, a one hit kill.

I'd rather it explode into a large area effect that hits 30-50 9/10 of the time then it having the potential to one-shot a player 1/10 of the time, because it's that 1/10 of the time that ruins the players day. And yeah, comparatively it's a forgiving ability unlike the Chili Bean or Potato Mine.
One shots in games are basically the game engine saying: "What's that, you were standing here? DEAD. Respawn and git gud scrublord."
Ugh.
The_Masked_Doll, it's probably more like a 1/50 chance of one shotting, if not more. You have to get a perfect hit on someone, and for it to be a 'true' one shot, they have to be at full health, and there's only a couple toons in the game that can be 1 shot for 120 dmg.
