Collision (and some other stuff) on PvZ GW
Morning,
So last night while playing, I been noticing some collision detection problems with walls, that finally has annoyed me. Other members of my team and so forth, as well as pathing issues with tossed Sticky grenades and chilly beans.
1) Collision detection, Ok dont know if it is working as attended. But I have been seeing it more often (mostly sun flower beams) that rip right through walls. Even I know of some of the walls that I am able to blast through and shred zombies on the other side of. Is this working as entended? I understand like fences that blow up when anyone shoots them but hard walls that people are trying to take cover on?
2) Same with the 1st, this one pertains to collision detection of teammates. I get stuck, ALOT, behind my RB on my Scientist. In front of my teammates or behind them. Talk about annoying, when your on a kill streak and your team comes up to support because i'm wrecking plants and or Zombies, and I cant back off after a hard engagement of 3v1 or 4v1 because my team is near by and getting in the way of my escape routes. Specally if they are rooted in the ground and blasting away. Working as attended ?
3) Sticky bombs and chilly beans, many times have a mind of their own. I will be attempting to Sticky someone below me or toss a chilly bean at someone below me for example. And they will not roll right, like they have a mind of their own, or stick to some object that wasn't even near where my cursor was when i was tossing it. I swear, how many times can a sticky bomb go in a 90 degree angle from where you tossed it before it annoys you is beyond me.
All in all tho, I feel pop cap has done a good job on their game, but i think the public right now is being their beta testers hard core for them. I'm seeing many many many things that could be improved on, some through are on the forum and has mentioned it before me so I will not dive into it myself. Please work more dilligently on these issues guys, your entering a whole new world, and if you want to start pulling some hard core FPSers your going to have to improve, or make the physics work the same every time.
