I know this is crazy, but I just found that spamming my right trigger on my controller somehow connects me to the EA servers. I did it again doing this method and it worked.
That worked!
After the first timeout, I slammed all my buttons and triggers. Must be some sort of buffering issue. Fill the buffer and the system sends enough packets to make it work.
Odd at the least.
Confirming trigger spam method worked after the first time out. Will try it more. Very frustrating error.
