Agreed.
The challenges should be a total and not per match. There was a Heal as a Sunflower one I rerolled as it seemed very difficult if not impossible to get in a single game. My record so far was 3400 or so, it was far more than that, so decided to just reroll that one.
I agree totally...
Really disappointed in the challenges to be honest... and they seem to be very heavily weighted towards PvP
I don't mind grinding too much but this game is turning into just that sadly..... however I certainly do not want to spend hours and hours in PvP trying to achieve the impossible....
not every body wants to play PvP over and over again and / or is skilled enough to achieve these goals and in one match.
Score for all challenges should definitely carry over to next matches.
Very tedious grind to not be rewarded with your bulb after many matches trying...
and indeed with characters that you may want to or ever play.
This is very unfair those who have not the time or inclination to play PvP over and over again....
Not only that but my daily challenges have bugged out and I am apparently not getting any today.... and one of them is blank with a 0...
don't know if its supposed to be like that or not.
Also... as we can see from the "warp to a vanquish" mission for the scientist.... the English is so bad and unclear that people are having trouble even understanding what they are meant to be doing.... more time wasted....
Want to be my normal cheery and positive self but tbh I am starting to struggle a bit with BFN as it is just now...
first massive PC issues... hopefully these will be addressed in the PC update due...
then lack of solo/private maps to play game modes... something the devs refuse to address in forums or live or at all in fact despite the hundreds of times i have seen people asking... our concerns are being completely ignored.
then the Ops disaster (I agree it has slightly improved) but it still has a bit to go... and I still feel like Ops was an afterthought.... a copy and paste of the Ops quests... and the "phases" is more damage reduction rather than a plan addressing what people actually want tin the game.
People play Ops with their young children... difficulty setting is a must for them and as @Iron_Guard8 points out...
we want to be able to choose where we place the gardinator/graveinator...
the choice of 5 or 10 waves would be very welcome....
and we want to fly in and have the escape bitty.
and now the bulbs for the ridiculous amount of XP
then the challenges which it seems there a lot of complaints about....
Auch anyway... I guess we will see what happens...lets hope it all sorts itself out for everybody 😃 (bit forced but a smile all the same)
- 6 years ago@asabaida Aww! I have days like that with BFN too, but bless you - don't lose your "happy" over it! 🌻

@asabaida sorry to hear of your troubles, friend,

@asabaida you bring up a key point that we should discuss and I believe that needs to be addressed.
The game has a larger PvE presence than either GW game. Thanks in part to the free roam regions (which are all great I might add), so that attracts more PvE focused players as well. Most people I know play a mix, but many focus on one or the other (PvE and PvP) and don't like feeling obligated to play the other mode of play.
One option to make the challenges more even to the two ends of the spectrum (PvP focused and PvE focused players), is to give 4 options for 2 dailies; have 2 PvP challenges and 2 PvE ones and allow people to beat any 2 (with at least 1 reroll just like now). In GW2 I did play a fair chunk of PvP but I did a lot of PvE there so I fully understand wanting to focus on it here when it's even better than before (barring Ops anyway).
The idea of the prize map is to give people an incentive to play often. While I like this idea a lot, if people feel that's grindy, they may just give up. If people were able to choose a path to gain the bulbs that fit their play style, it will feel less like a task they feel forced to do, and more like they are being rewarded for playing. You really want that second scenario, the first one does work on people, anyone that's played an MMO knows exactly what I mean, but people get fed up, bored, or upset, and for the long term health of the game that's not a great idea. Feeling like the game is giving you stuff for doing something you already enjoy is a great place to be.
Also, glad to see that smile! You've always been a bright spot on the GW2 forums, I hope you continue to shine here as well.
Edit: That PC patch can't come soon enough!
