Deck limit is limiting. + Why was it decreased??? + Why is there no warning?!?

For those who don't know, there is a deck limit of 45 for each side, meaning 90 decks total (this doesn't include strategy decks).  It used to be 50 for each side, or 100 total, but for some reason, EA/Popcap decreased the limit.

Notice that I had to say "For those who don't know".  I shoudln't have to say that.  EVERYONE should be warned about the deck limit in one way or another.  Just a simple fraction, lke "33/45" would work, or at least a warning message for whenever you're creating a 46th deck and you can't save it.

For some people, this may not be a problem at all.  I know someone who only used one deck per side anyway.  And I'm sure there are people out there that only use strategy decks, or that only make 2-3 decks per hero.  I am not one of those people.  I discover new decks and come up with new deck ideas every other day, but the limit is 4-5 decks per hero.  It just feels very limiting and I don't like it.

I want to know two things:

1. Why was is decreased? To save memory space/storage usage?  To compensate for the strategy decks being added?

2. Why is there no warning or deck counter at all until it's too late?

Sincerely, Guacodile42.

  • I don't user then anyways... but i agree. It's a bum deal. I know tons of users that love building all kinds of strats for each character, and switching between them easily need on what they're seeing as opposition. And considering the only use i have for their prebuilt decks is to buy the cards i still need with gems, it seems like a huge step backwards.
  • Pretty much nothing gets communicated here on the forums.  Sometimes some people have read it on reddit.  I'm not one of the reddit, so I sadly lament the lack of information.  Recent appearances and communiques from EA_Andy suggest that times may be a changin'.

Nevertheless @Guacodile42, I agree with your sentiment that changes should be readily communicated.  Discussed would be an even more joyful (though far less likely) situation.
