Did They Up How Much XP That Fish Gives?

I had 10 levels to go to max out my Plasma Pea, (who I'm not really a fan of) so I decided to spend some of my 200 coins on leveling him up. I was surprised that the first purchase took him from the zero point on level 1 nearly all the way to level 2. And the second purchase I got more than half way through level 3. All-in-all I was able to get him to a full 6 1/2 levels with 5 purchases I think. I just didn't think I'd get that far. So I was wondering if they changed it?

    It's always been 750 XP. It says it on the left when you purchase the XP with the stars.

    That's because leveling up to 1-5 is very easy. You're better off saving your stars for characters that are leveling from 6-9 since that's when leveling turns into a small grind for them. it takes 25 stars alone (using the fish 5 times) to completely level them up to level 10 if you just use the fish with a level 9 character
