@spIash_damageI'm wondering how much of it is the challenges messing things up. It's been SO much worse the last few days, even worse than in the other games.
There is another thread where people are asking for switching teams to be made easier, for precisely this reason. They need to be a zombie/plant to complete a daily challenge, and will switch teams so they can complete the challenge faster.
Personally I haven’t found uneven teams to be a problem in BFN yet. There is usually at least one full TT match going on Xbox Australia servers, so empty spots get filled up quickly. Not sure about other modes, since TT is mainly what I play.
- 6 years ago@jnicol1975 finding a playable match is already difficult on PC, especially on Asia server. About the daily challenges, I think the problem is not on the team switch, it's the challenges that are poorly designed.
- 6 years ago@DarkLanX Team switch has always been a problem, but I think you're right that the challenges (& people's frustration) are making things worse atm.
Maybe there should be a daily challenge of staying on your allocated team for 3 matches in a row!!! 🤣 - Iron_Guard86 years agoLegend
Actually had a bunch of good matches yesterday, had really close matches in 5 games of TT in a row. Had a couple people swap to stay plant or zombie but they swapped at setup and not mid-match.
Not saying they don't need to fix the team swap issues, they're definitely a real thing, but when people don't do that and the teams are fairly balanced the game really shines. PC NA East is doing well right now, even with some people still having issues (we need another PC and general lag patch for all platforms soon).
- 6 years ago@Iron_Guard8 Yes, I particularly hope for PC users that there's something soon. Xbox Europe so far hasn't been bad for lag at all, but was really awful yesterday for no apparent reason! Hopefully we'll hear about patch/update soon - not long til release at all now

When the servers are new/full, this issue isn't glaring in your face but the moment servers die down a little and people learn how to manipulate lobbies, I fear it will plague BfN as bad as the others.
Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

@spIash_damage agreed. They really need to treat this seriously. I love that I can jump in/out of matches any time I want but if you can swap teams like in GW 1 and 2, it can really ruin the experience, especially for new people.
There was some event in the portal in GW2 and @Gormey and I swapped to the smaller, losing team, to help balance stuff out for at least a match or two, but usually people swap the other way, making it worse. =/

@Iron_Guard8 I had over 1,000 GW2 screenshots where the teams would be a minimum of 3 or 4 to 1. I had hundreds where I'd be facing 5+ (sometimes TWELVE max rank players).
It got to a point I could play less than 10% of the time in a fun lobby. Found FULL lobbies all day but they would have "teams" of gaming clans beating up noobs.
The number one reason a good shooter flops (fails) is server bullying of any sort. I truly believe this is the sole reason GW2 wasn't extremely successful.

Team balance is a joke, was a problem in garden warfare to. Should be like team fortress 2 and server just forces balance team if u like it or not. Check image I attached below that was turf takeover just now. I just left.
- 6 years agoPlayers who switch to the winning side should have zero coins awarded for the match.
We should only be able to swap before the first round starts IF there's room. If people drop out, they should be replaced by AIs until a new player comes in (who should not be able to change teams). I really, really don't understand whyyyyyy this is still a problem . . . . 😖 - 6 years ago

I've mentioned this before too. I've been in some TF2 matches where I've been swapped to the losing team, seen the teams get heavily scrambled after a blowout, etc. It can be annoying, especially if you are leveling particular characters, but it makes for a better game when you can't have matches that are 6 on 2 or worse. Plus to be honest, I get a large amount of satisfaction when in TF2 I get swapped to the losing team and we pull out a win afterwards. Edit: for those that haven't played TF2, you don't level in that game, or at least you didn't last time I played, the leveling I refer to is if they added team swap here.
The team swapping issue been a pain since GW1 and I honestly thought it'd be one of the first things they would have fixed here. It's disconcerting that it's still a thing.
