"Hey guys im sorry that it has been a little bit since i have last posted i havent had anything to say recently. So i dont remember our calender that @Hieldanka wrote, but this one is pretty close and i think we can all agree on this on
January
Community challange
February
Cats vs dinos
March
Triple f frenzy
April
Brothers gnomus boss hunt
May
Capture the taco
June
Lunchtime in the lab
July
Sasquatch boss hunt
August
Soil survivors
September
Community challenge
October
Spooky squash boss hunt
November
Cats vs dinos
December
Yeti king boss hunt
I think this is pretty clos to what we had and i did not repeat events except cats vs dinos and community challenges because those are needed for trophies and boss hunt comes up 4 times."
@EA_Shepard @DeathBugg Dunno why write down "Community Challenge" as January and September. Community Challenge isn't a gamemode, it isn't something you enter through the mystery portal.
I think those modes could instead be filled some other modes that no longer appear such as Snack Attack.
Also I feel like having most of the year be filled with Boss Hunts would be kinda jarring. Ideally the Mystery Portal should be restored to being weekly and possibly with a randomized rotation if possible, if not then let it have a variety of modes in the preset selection.
Another thing I would really like to suggest is if Tale of the Taco could be brought back as a yearly summer event. This event ran back in July 2019 and has never been brought back since but I think it would be a perfect fit for a yearly event. The event contained a decorated Backyard Battleground with a giant ice cream taco on the Town Hall and a special selection of Mystery Portal gamemodes that only appeared during this event. I think having this alongside the seasonal NPCs (for some reason all of them stopped appearing except the Halloween bat) would make the game so much more lively.

@JosephPopper1The idea I believe is just that the mode is just an old event that includes a community challenge meter as well this way achievements can still be earned. Many challenges coincided with the game modes so it shouldn't be hard to pull an old one for a month on the rotation.
They have the monthly rotation already on a set schedule so going back to a weekly one would probably be too much. The hunts also have achievements and cosmetics tied to them so I feel they need to be included even if they would take up 4 months of the year.
Tale of the taco being a summer event to change the backyard like lawn of doom or Feastivus would have been cool. Shame that only lawn of doom still gets the reward giver and actually spawns unique enemies in the backyard like the jack o coats. - 3 years ago@JosephPopper1 The thing is, there needs to be a community challenge, at least once, so the players can get the achievement.
Also there are 4 different boss hunts, meaning there needs to be 4 months dedicated each one, otherwise we can’t do all of them which would upset everyone because all the boss hunts are beloved, and all of them have individual hats that can only obtained through each of the 4 boss hunts.
Having the mystery portal opened more than once a month would be awesome but I don’t think EA is willing to do it. - stukapooka3 years agoLegend@VendetedFox This whole thing was about the no longer available achievements in the first place so despite everything else boss hunt, cats vs dinos, and atleast once community challenge must be the absolute top priority by the community to get back and since they're all connected to the mystery portal its the best one to shoot for.
- 3 years ago@stukapooka Agreed, as well as soil survivors and Capture the taco
- 3 years ago@JosephPopper1 It’s not jarring to me, but if it was I’d still prefer a jarring mystery portal rotation, than the current Insufferable, lifeless, boring mystery portal rotation that we have right now

I've got to agree that the Mystery Portal would likely still open once per month for the schedule change, although I like the idea of potentially being able to do a hunt for 2 weeks instead of 1. 🕒

@TheSprinter85For purely selfish reasons I think I would prefer the Boss Hunts to be open for two weeks as you suggest, as seeing that all my gamer friends from four years ago no longer play the game, I will be playing with randoms and most likely newbies, who might not have prepared themselves by finding out how the Boss Hunts are won.
With the portal only being open for a week, I will most likely be having a hard time completing the Hunts within that timeframe. With an extra week, I will hopefully run into a team that knows exactly what they are doing, and I can finally get the one hat I am missing.
- stukapooka3 years agoLegend@ManicMossie Darn shame I won't have a lot of the former friends i used to play with for the events.
I use to get annoyed at the randoms in hunts but after all these years i'm just gonna be happy as guiding people who will listen to complete the hunts will definetly be a fun experience.
But yeah I hope we get plenty of time to do them so we can beat them on all difficulty. I still need to 100% everything but the gnomes and yeti/spooky squash especially are very teamwork heavy and require maxium concentration. - TheSprinter853 years agoHero
Yes, I agree! I do see multiple benefits in having 2 weeks for each Boss Hunt, with the most significant reasons being that you have more time to beat each Boss Hunt on every difficulty, and you could even grind it out for longer while it was available. I would probably also use this time to practice the Boss Hunt with friends if possible, and to come up with some clever strategies if struggling with the hunt as well. The Mystery Portal stopped offering us Boss Hunts before it was changed to only open once a month, so we have not had the opportunity to attempt a Boss Hunt with 2 weeks. Furthermore, if we get the Mystery Portal change, it seems most likely that EA will continue to only open the Town Hall once every month, so this will be the most likely result. In this case, I would recommend grinding out the Mystery Portal events while we get a chance.

@stukapookaAll depending on our respective time zones and make of console we could team up. Hieldanka also wants to join, so we are nearly there as a team.
I am pretty rusty though, so I'll have to get back into my stride by initially playing a couple of times. - stukapooka3 years agoLegend@ManicMossie If you're on xbox or pc i would gladly team up if the rotation gets changed.

@stukapookaIs that Eastern seaboard time ie like New York or are you an hour behind them again?
- stukapooka3 years agoLegend@ManicMossie Behind 7:00 o clock would be our 6:00 o clock
- 3 years ago@stukapooka Bit of a time difference (We’re 7 hours ahead here in Denmark). Might be difficult to coordinate, but I could let you know, depending on whether the Boss Hunts return, when I plan to enter the portal. I’ll try and take that time difference into account.
