@VendetedFoxI just don’t get what’s so hard about bringing it back, like at least provide a valid reason as to why
@flexibleFLIMINGOI think that's atleast the bare minimum of what people want since they said their not doing it.
I really hope that EA will change their mind or that we can change their mind before the start of next year as that is when they intend to fix the hacking problem. This is probably our very last chance for anything to change, for a long time at least.
@TheSprinter85 Agreed, we have to do everything we can to convince EA to fix the mystery portal to bring back boss hunts and the other fan favourites game modes #bringbackbosshunt
- @TheSprinter85 Even if boss hunts and other fan favourites are put on private play, I’ll be happy too, because at least we’ll be able to play it again

@hellishgother These threads are still receiving attention from EA so hopefully all of our continued discussion will result in convincing EA in bringing back the game modes.
@Hieldanka I don't mind how these modes are reimplemented as long as we have the ability to play them again in any way.
- @Hieldanka same, as long as I'm able to play boss hunt and our other fav modes then this issue will be resolved once and for all!
- @Hieldanka making boss hunt a private play mode would be AWESOME! that way we can play it whenever we want!
- @TheSprinter85 I think private play for boss hunt would be better too, since we're able to at least start a match even if you don't have 4 players, because when this game dies, you would still have the ability to at least start a match
I have no idea if Boss Hunts and the other portal modes would be easier to implement into Private Play. However, this would likely be more suitable as we can play them all year round and it is much easier to begin a match at any time. Invite any friends that you want to have join you and you are good to play. It would be so simple to set up as well as if you were setting up a different game mode.

Boss Hunts can return in any way, shape or form and I would be completely satisfied. I am really hoping to see their return rather soon as I have seen lots of new players join GW2 as of late. Most of these new players wouldn't have ever played these Boss Hunts before, or even heard about it. I don't mind how they return, I just pray that they do for our community! 🤞

@hellishgother True. I hope the newbies will get to experience the Boss Hunts and other fantastic game modes. They will be able to rank up and unlock new characters and upgrades in the meantime.
For all the new players, I will probably create a guide for them stating how they could prepare for the Boss Hunt modes when/if they return. For new players, it is probably going to be a massive step up in difficulty from what they are used to. Who knows, maybe it will also bring more traction from the community toward Boss Hunts possibly returning? Hope to play you again soon Boss Hunts! 🤞
- @TheSprinter85 a guide would be very helpful and I think it will help show EA that the community really loves boss hunt and will do anything to bring it back.
#bringbackbosshunt - @Megaladon4004 I was thinking this sort of thing actually. It would be effective at preparing new players, and returning players actually, for any upcoming hunts. I hope it will bring this community even closer together as well. Plus I have enjoyed creating guides in the past and would like to start creating them again.

- @TheSprinter85 If you do decide to make a guide, make sure you include the part about how you have to spam pots/bots at every opportunity, and make sure you let them know that they have to mainly spam the long range pots/bots so they can draw enemy fire.

I have decided that I am absolutely going to create this guide, and the guide will start with basic knowledge and assume that you are a relatively new player to the game or franchise, however I do intend to provide some advanced tips as well. Spam placing pots/bots would be a great idea, so I will be sure to add this to the guide.
- @TheSprinter85 I noticed that in co-op, its a pretty good tactic to take the high ground and have a sunflower player next to you, but I'm not sure if this tactic would work against someone like yeti king or sasquatch considering they can make Icicles or fire rain on you.... I WANT BOSS HUNT BACK SO MUCH, IT WAS SO FUN!!!!
#bringbackbosshunt - @Hieldanka Don’t forget about the fact that the sunflower can’t jump too high, so there’s a limit to the places she can access
I appreciate the feedback again! I believe most characters have some access to higher ground on most of the Boss Hunt maps, which could be used for a tactical advantage. It might not keep you completely safe from the boss, although it should help against most heroes and Browncoats, Weeds or Gnomes.
I am going to start working on this guide tomorrow so if anyone has any further ideas or feedback, let me know or wait until after I release it and I can adjust it. 👍 I hope to #bringbackbosshunt
- @TheSprinter85 Make sure you talk about which characters to NEVER use in Boss Hunt, unless they're seasoned pro's.
Like never use Cactus, Chomper, Rose, Imp, Pirate and Engineer.
If you can list the reasons why people should avoid picking these, it would be great.
