PVZ1 Endless Not Working

Not sure why this started happening, or if this is just an issue for me; but regardless I am unable to play Endless on PVZ1, on mobile.

Clicking on the gamemode makes the game freeze, and then shut down about 3-4 seconds later. After a couple of attempts, an error message pops up on my phone, stating that "Plants vs. Zombies FREE is experiencing a bug. Please wait for the developer to release an updated version and resolve this issue".

I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S23+, and want to make it clear that this is the only gamemode that does not work, however is the only one I play much of.
