I've got to agree that the Mystery Portal would likely still open once per month for the schedule change, although I like the idea of potentially being able to do a hunt for 2 weeks instead of 1. 🕒
@TheSprinter85For purely selfish reasons I think I would prefer the Boss Hunts to be open for two weeks as you suggest, as seeing that all my gamer friends from four years ago no longer play the game, I will be playing with randoms and most likely newbies, who might not have prepared themselves by finding out how the Boss Hunts are won.
With the portal only being open for a week, I will most likely be having a hard time completing the Hunts within that timeframe. With an extra week, I will hopefully run into a team that knows exactly what they are doing, and I can finally get the one hat I am missing.
- stukapooka3 years agoLegend@ManicMossie Darn shame I won't have a lot of the former friends i used to play with for the events.
I use to get annoyed at the randoms in hunts but after all these years i'm just gonna be happy as guiding people who will listen to complete the hunts will definetly be a fun experience.
But yeah I hope we get plenty of time to do them so we can beat them on all difficulty. I still need to 100% everything but the gnomes and yeti/spooky squash especially are very teamwork heavy and require maxium concentration. Yes, I agree! I do see multiple benefits in having 2 weeks for each Boss Hunt, with the most significant reasons being that you have more time to beat each Boss Hunt on every difficulty, and you could even grind it out for longer while it was available. I would probably also use this time to practice the Boss Hunt with friends if possible, and to come up with some clever strategies if struggling with the hunt as well. The Mystery Portal stopped offering us Boss Hunts before it was changed to only open once a month, so we have not had the opportunity to attempt a Boss Hunt with 2 weeks. Furthermore, if we get the Mystery Portal change, it seems most likely that EA will continue to only open the Town Hall once every month, so this will be the most likely result. In this case, I would recommend grinding out the Mystery Portal events while we get a chance.
@EA_Shepard has the team responded yet?
Sorry if we're being annoying, we're just so excited!
- @EA_Shepard I think I’m going overseas next December with my family, so I will be thrilled if I got to play the yeti king boss hunt this December, cause next year I might be away
@EA_Shepard I wrote this in frosty creek in hopes that yeti king would return for this Christmas, is it good?
- @Hieldanka I truly hope that for you! But surely you'll be able to play when you get back again?..... I do recognise that it's a pain when you have been waiting for such a long time, and then having to wait yet again for another undisclosed length of time before you can play.
@flexibleFLIMINGO Easily relatable to the Yeti King and a good choice showing the bridge in Frosty Creek! That's exactly where one should stand (as a Corn/Pea) when the Yeti King begins to dance and one wants to hit as many popsicles as possible from one position.

It's nice to see so much discussion about these games after minimal activity for some time!
I'm glad @stukapooka mentioned the legendary consumables in GW2 as well. Rux hasn't sold these in ages, and while they aren't as high priority as the boss hunts, costumes for Torchwood and Hovergoat, and so on, it'd still be nice to be able to buy them again. All the folks posting proves what some of us have been saying for months/years; the games have a loyal following, they're still fun, and they need more attention from PopCap/EA for the things we've been asking about for years. I still want a GW3 most of all of course, but until then, at least let people experience the game like it was at its highest point, and let them get the achievements, hats, and so on done as well.
