No. There is nobody left on the dev team to ban people from playing with mods in the game. However in the community it's considered ethical to mod in unicorn or twilight chomper and play with it in multiplayer if you never got the chance to officially get unicorn chomper. There was also never a proper moderation system for bans implemented in the first place.

@GoliathMKII Depends on the mod. Some mods have kicked in the security and banned players for altering the game. Mods are at your own risk and we cannot say officially you will or will not be banned because there is a chance it could happen.

To my knowledge, any mod that adds Unicorn Chomper will add it to your roster permanently even when the mod is removed since they're a native character to the game. As longer as the mod isn't malware or something, you should be fine.
Supposedly there's also a way to add them in the files, may need a decompiler/programming knowledge though.
