i just bought this game hoping to you know, be able to play it and after hours upon hours of searching for fixes the only thing i have learned is the game most likely requires your cpu to support sse 4.1 instructions. So i would really like an answer from EA if i even have hope of playing or if it is a cpu instructions requirement

@ziggyslayer80 If you're using an AMD Phenom II CPU, to me it doesn't look like you'll be able to run the game. Seeing as Phenom II doesn't support SSE 4.1 and is one generation behind the FX series (the current minimum spec), which does support SSE 4.1, I think it's safe to assume that the game requires SSE 4.1 instructions.

@EA_Kipling yea i know does it or does it not require sse 4.1 instructions, i'm sure plenty of others would like to know as well i don't care about the minimum specs or "if i can run it" because i can play plenty of games i "don't meet minimum specs" for. I just want to know if i and others are having a cpu instructions set crash error and if we even can play or not because a lot of people who seem to be having these crashes have phenoms

@EA_Kipling Well i would really like you to ask the developers if they could please state in the requirements on origin that it requires see 4.1 instructions if that is indeed the case. It would save lots of people headaches seeing as phenoms can still run like every game out now unless the game needs sse 4.1 instructions, This makes for a very annoying situation for many pc players using phenom cpus as we know that for the most part our pcs can indeed run the game if that requirement wasn't there. It is very frustrating buying a game and not being able to run it because of an issue like this, But i guess i do understand your point that i should probably upgrade now if i would like to play this game.

Yep I think this is the problem we are having and have had since we bought the Founders edition on the night of the trailer release...
super annoying and desperately disappointing.
We have tried everything and I mean everything... and have given up due to no definitive answer from anywhere....
and this is the conclusion we have come to.... that it requires these missing instructions..... SSE 4.1 or whatever.
if this was stated in the Origin description it would save people a lot of grief and disappointment.... not to mention hours of time wasted on something they have no chance of fixing.
