Dr. Pepper loop?

 What is it?

Yeah, Pepper M.D. and Venus Flytraplanet are a potent combination, but I wouldn't really call them a loop.  Every turn, the opponent still has the opportunity to destroy the pepper or replace the environment.

True loops, I believe, would be ones that, once activated, just keep going several times (like the VF environment and Heartichoke).  I don't mind cards comboing and triggering off each other, but I'm really not a fan of loops that just keep going.

It was named Pepper M.D. due to trademark laws, but I think just about everyone gets the message that its unofficial name is Dr Pepper.

Never thought about it before.  Suddenly the name makes a LOT more sense.

  • Can we forget about trademarks for a moment? Back on topic, gentlemen.

Like I say, is there a loop? I am thinking of a Venus's-flytrap planet with a pepper M.D. in it. No Heartichoke. One lane. It accumulates attack power at an extreme rate, and suddenly becomes unbeatable.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

It's an interesting point, and I would certainly say that it is a powerful combo. Whether you can call it a loop, I don't if the combo has to also be auto-repeating e.g. the Heartichoke Loop or the Sergeant Strongberry Loop

Precisely that. It is not a "loop" strictly speaking, but rather "synergy". If Pepper M.D. does damage on top of the Flytrap environment it will deal damage, heal you and grow, all at once.

But as @jj48car said, it is not a thing that keeps forever.
