Is there any possibility of an authorized Roblox PvZ shooter?

Me and a friend were discussing about the possibility of us getting permission to make an authorized Roblox PvZ Shooter Game, that is, collaborating with PopCap/EA to use the official PvZ characters.

We were also daydreaming about a plan in case we got permission for a long long time. One thing to note is that ideally around 30% of the profits would be given to the rightful copyright owners, but that would be a starting point to negotiate in case that thats not a good enough percentage. There would would make an original title for the game and we would not demand any resources. We would also like to know to what extent we would be able to use the franchise in case this is viable. Could we reuse map ideas/names? What about variants? Could we expand the game our own ways, maybe even discussing changes we'd like to make with the higher ups? If we got the rights, would we only be able to use the PvZ Shooter characters, or would that expand throughout the whole franchise?

Also something to note: This is hypothetical, mostly so that we know if we could keep our hopes up of one day making a pvz shooter

Hey, @DioAdhname Personally i think it would do well in that game. It is quite popular. The issue there is you have to get a lot of permissions from , EA, PopCap and a list of others in order to do that.

Everything you would need to start that you can find on the How to Use EA content article!

  • @EA_Shepard I want some clarification: From the article that you posted, I read that the game couldn't be monetised, but I'd like to know if giving EA retribution for the use of their IP/doing a collaboration would be possible, which is the main reason why I asked this question.

Our original plans would be to make our game monetized like the actual shooters, without pushing it too much, and the main question we had was if there is a possiblity of us to try and split the profits with the companies associated so that we don't waste so long when we could be making games with the purpose of making money instead of making what we want to the most.

Keep in mind we are not asking for any resources from EA, and it would all be made by our team, yet we still want to offer a percentage of the profits as a way to not be the only ones to profit, as we are not the copyright owners.
