Thanks for acknowledging the problem that many of us are having. I have lost out on the weekly puzzles because of this issue and I hope that there is some kind of compensation for that. Just give all players a free pack, regardless of whether they were affected by the bug. <g>
I have some more info to add. I have tried many different phones, accounts (had a friend re-download and try it), VPNd all over the world, tried both Android and iOS 10 & iOS 11 and I constantly get the Connection Error when first launching and am unable to play the game.
Now the new info: I happened to have an older iPhone which has iOS 9.0.2 and the 1.22.13 (supposedly latest) version of PvZ Heroes - but IT WORKS on that phone!
It's apparently the same version as the one I had on all the phones that fail to launch PvZ Heroes because of the connection error.
I know sometimes developers 'slipstream' a version -- they fix a bug, but release the app with the same version number, so it is impossible for customers to know which 1.22.13 app they have. Is it possible that PvZ Heroes was slipstreamed some time toward the end of last week? That would explain why not everyone sees the problem even though their apps tell them they have the same version.
If the game was slipstreamed, then I suggest un-slipstreaming it until you find and fix the connection error bug.
And to all others who currently have a working game: DO NOT RE-INSTALL VERSION 1.22.13 because you too may not be able to play the game!
