If I’m being honest, I haven’t had that much of an issue with bunnyhopping recently. Since I don’t bunnyhop unless I’m trying to strafe a sniper’s shot, I find it easier to just aim and shoot where they’re going since I’m stable on the ground. I also haven’t come across many bunnyhoppers recently, but that could just be me. Some hitboxes, like Imp and Acorn, could stand a bit of a size increase, and thin characters such as Rose and Foot Soldier could use a little more width. I think sometimes it comes down to the capability of the player to handle the situation.
As well as the fact that hit registration still is an issue. Get that out of the way, continue to increase gameplay stability, get a few more adjustments to aiming, and possibly increase base movement speed. If all those issues are covered I think bunnyhopping would fix itself for the most part before long.
It is definitely aggravating, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like sometimes the heat of the moment definitely gets me more riled up than the situation necessitates. If the game fixes its core mechanics better it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Sprinting while bunnyhopping? Don’t even get me started. The sprint hitboxes are ridiculous and the poor hitreg and aiming issues don’t help that at all. That could definitely stand some changes.
I think they should increase the jump gap between most characters, but keep characters who need it (like acorn or shadow shroom) the same
