Yeah, the first game is a lot more fun. The backyard part of GW2 is fun... But now that I beat it... It's just there...
The problem with GW2 is that they added all this CC and bad map design. Apart from the chomper and a potted plant... There was no other CC in GW1.
Maps in GW1 flowed and had many vantage points. With GW2... Everything is choke points and obstructions.

The Zombie Engineer had CC. However, i do agree with what you're saying. The backyard is fun, but once you've done it all.... i don't see the appeal. I still think you should be able to access MP/GardenOps/Infinity from the menu screen as opposed to needing to run around.
I would LOVE to see the GW1 maps make a comeback in GW2, the GW1 were well designed, had choke points in all the right places and were fun.
I think the additional 6 classes has changed the whole dynamic of the game but i have no doubt in months to come we will see some balancing fixes that should address this.
I am also playing PvZ 1 again, only to unlock my missing characters. Toxic Pea....where are you ☹️
- 10 years agoLol you can unlock the Pvzgw1 character on pvzgw2 and its easier..
