11 years agoFramerate lag/drop...?
Seems like my game isn't running as smoothly after this update, like...tons of "hiccups" and all that with the framerate. No clue what's causing it, but it's kinda bugging me, and before the update m...

Oh, misunderstood you then, thought you meant Origin itself. lol
Well anyways I'm not going to play it at the moment, but did reset the 3D settings in Nvidia's control panel, haven't messed with it there before though.
Doesn't look like anything is helping...I'm starting to think it has something to do with the mouse controls. I mean my mouse functions just fine, but aiming seems a bit choppy. There was another thread saying that the new update is causing the graphic cards to become major CPU hogs, you think that has anything to do with this?
☹️ ☹️
I think I might remember one other thread saying something about the new update making something worse for them but I can't remember exactly the name or issue.
I always use a second monitor to display temp/usage of gpu/cpu cores/ram. Directly after the patch I tested 337 and 340 nVidia drivers, SLI on and off. I did not notice any unusual spikes to the CPU or anything like that. SLI didn't work similar to how it acted pre-patch. I'm about to fire it up to play a round, I'll watch my CPU usage like a hawk, if it's odd I'll report back.
i7 920 @ 4ghz
480 GTX (using stock clocks instead of my usual stupid high clocks, still works with those though too)
If you think it might have something to do with the CPU and other software hogging it up isn't the issue you might try this, it's been used in BF4 with some success in improving performance I believe.

You may also try renaming/deleting the PROF_SAVE_profile file... maybe something got monkied up?
I'll look into it next time I play then, just got off for the day after recording another long game. lol
Yeah I'm not sure what it is, I just know it happened after the update. xD
GvG game
HT is disabled.. it's a 920, my water cooler can't keep up with it on @ 4GHz , I'm sure it's plugged up with cat hair too that doesn't help :P
I have more than I'd recommend regular users have running in the background... but I have a feeling it's still less than the 'average user'. I'm **bleep** [not a bad word in this context...] about what programs run at startup and in the background.

Just heading this off at the pass before someone wants to full *you know what* and claim something crazy like "the human eye blah blah"... human eyes don't see in frames...
I like that to test configurations. But my "problem" is that I do not have user.cfg file. If you believe and I copy the game folder, takes effect?
Yes, just make it.
It doesn't exist by default.
* It goes in the \Origin Games\PvZ folder not the Documents folder.

Didn't know that, will try that out next time, not sure when I'll be back in the game though, might be going into town for the day soon.

Just tried it, doesn't look like it's an issue with the framerate. Starting to think it has something to do with the mouse, like I said, mouse works perfectly fine, but in this game when aiming...the animation seems a bit laggy/choppy at times.
